idl12 Posted July 31, 2010 Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 Well of course the one voice I dislike is Naruto's voice, the only problem is, his voice sounds almost alike to his japanese counterpart, so in essence, Viz made a great choice there, it pisses me of that the voice is so bad yet so good at the same time(hope that made sense)P.s Vic Mignogna RULES!!!! kuroshida Posted August 4, 2010 Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 Yeah, Vampire Knight got butchered pretty badly but i'm a huge Vic Mignogna fan so i'll basically like any voice he does. <3I'm a bit nervous about how Kuroshitsuji will sound dubbed.And as soon as I heard Ling's voice on FMAB I was like "How did I know they were gonna cast Todd Haberkorn for Ling?"It gets kinda annoying after about 5 minutes of hearing Ling talk. idl12 Posted August 4, 2010 Report Share Posted August 4, 2010 That's strange, I thought they made a pretty good choice for Ling' s voice, I honestly was worried that they would put some kind of high pitched exaggerated chinese sounding voice for him, so I was relieved when I heard his voice for the first time, another that worried me was Mei Ching but she sounded pretty good to, but I everyone has their opinion I guess. I had no idea that naruto was voiced by a middle age woman with very little voice acting experince untill the fillers started and bullcrap was going on. But it was the dialogue that made the character and the voice annoying. I mean really, when that kid opens his mouth and would say "believe it" or make some dumb speech about somthing, you just wanted to punch him in the face. But thankfuly this is not the case with naruto shippuden because the characters are SOOOOO much more likable and in turn, the voices dont make you want to punch them.Also I thought lings voice was pretty good, he can pull off being funny at times but serious at others. SOUNDS. WEIRD! when i first heard he was going 2 b in the dub i thought, oh he's gonna play ichijou! that's a great choice! but when i found out he's doing zero/ichiru instead i was like........ ummmm ok? tho i don't rlly get wut some people said when he first started playing ikkaku on bleach & how they didn't recognize him. and i must say, kaname sounds like a child molester!! *is strongly reminded of the dub version of yuuki sohma from fruits basket* and of course, yuuki (cross) was just...... ugh. i don't know why but there are so many crappy american voice actresses. though i am happy that travis willingham did touga. i seriously think that the japanese studios just put more thought into their selections than american studios do. I had watched another anime with her playing a female role right before watching Black Butler and it was distracting hearing essentially the same voice for a male role. I could not get past episode one. I recently decided to give Black Butler another try while it was still distracting it was bearable this time. The problem I have with Miss Palencia is her male voices tend to sound like her female voices.
