Koby Posted July 17, 2016 Report Share Posted July 17, 2016 The official Twitter account for the No Game No Life series announced that a movie adaptation of the light novel was revealed during the MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2016 event which was held today.No Game No Life is written and illustrated by Yuu Kamiya and began publication under the Bunko J label in April 2012. There are currently eight volumes released, with the ninth volume to be released on July 25. The light novel sold a total of 304,721 units in the first half of 2016, and previously received a 12-episode TV anime adaptation by studio Madhouse in Spring 2014. In addition to the anime, the series also received a manga adaptation in 2013, drawn by Mashiro Hiiragi. Yen Press and Sentai Filmworks licensed the light novel and anime, respectively, for North American release, with the second light novel volume to be released on July 21.
