Honestly, I think NIntendo should have stayed with the GameCube controller setup. It is after all the best gamepad of all time. Dervell Posted May 31, 2014 Report Share Posted May 31, 2014 Dervell's Nintendo life story - Hmm, to be honest the last nintendo game ive played/enjoyed was on the Gamecube, but i only had like 3-4 games, Zoids was the one i favored, but i do remember playing the cartoony Zelda (Skyward sword I think) not sure which console it was on i had more fun with the games on the 64 (Ocarina of Tima, Majora mask this ones GC) but it was just a demo haha, uh uhmm(clears throat) so moving on the 64 brought me the most joy i had so many games Zelda, Star fox, Mario 64 , Kirby, Mario kart, Donkey Kong and even a Star wars game there was more but these are my favorite (i had never played any Metroid game) i do remember playing the first Smash brothers but i dont know if it was on 64 or GC. Oh before we get to the Wii stuff ive also owned Snes and Nes but only remember mario haha, So here we are at the Wii there isnt really much to tell, use to love everything about each nintendo console but the Wii didn't interest me at all and so years went by seven i think and the wii gained alot of steam was now a must have console for parties/and exercise, so checked out some E3 and other events/info for Nintendos Wii still no interest i always stop by the game section at walmarts to buy and play some of the games (also own Sega, Sony, Ms pretty much all other consoles lol) they have set up so i get to try some of those well talked about games, still no interest, so then my cousin gets one we visit her during holidays and i got the chance to play the wii sports because she only had two games wii sports and super mario so we played the bowling one and had a brief enjoyable time so my mother has to have one, (few week pass) she gets super mario, and Donkey kong we brought it another party but know seems to enjoy it anymore after that she played it few more days then hasnt touched it, so the wii u comes out i told my cousin about it she didnt want it because she thought it was just a tablet add on, i had to explain to her it is a new console same goes for my mother but they didnt care because the only game they played was wii sports an didnt see a reason to buy anew system when they have the game on Wii. People like different games and different consoles utilize different genre's better than the others. So they all have their uses for 'someone' out there. As for me, console gaming died last gen; and nothing this gen has changed my mind. I'll stick to PC Games and PC Ports of console games. They're able to be customized more, usually come with more options, and don't require me to fork out $500+ every few years for a new console.
