To be honest Nintendo is in better financial shape than Sony is right now. How long will that last? They need to come up with a plan fast or they'll run dry financially in a few years. They can't, it's integrated into the OS of the Wii U. When starting up the eShop it tells you that you specifically can only operate it with the GamePad.
