Also, there are always going to be people like me who can not decide on one. My favorites would have to be Gajeel, Natsu, Jellal, Mystogan, and Gray. I like a lot of others, but these are the first five who come to mind. From the girls its Erza hands down. Then maybe Cana, Mira, Wendy, I like a lot of them, like i already said. Lucy would be somewhere, just not sure where. I haven't really fully caught up yet, but so far I’m not sure if i like Laxus or not. He's got one of the best back stories and his magic is amazing. He's a mysterious person for his own reasons but, is a loyal person as shown by returning to edolas and becoming king. Lucy always manages to stand up despite not always being the strongest wizard and is devoted to her friends. Fairy Tail has just become one of my favorite animes.
