I have a good chunk of these animes. I love how he does the reviews. He doesn't just moan and groan. He gives actual reviews...even to animes he didn't like. I loved his review on Please Twins and X. I really agree with him on Samurai Champloo. I hated that one too.

Yeah I laughed my ass off when I saw these. I kills me that he only has 18 though. I would love to see his reviews on some of the newer ones.

i agree that his approach to reviews is somewhat different and refreshing and that he did have some good points and stuff. i was expecting a HTOD review as i wanted to hear what he would say about that piece of anime which total sucks in my opinion. but Reptoholic said he doesn't have any review on that which sucks.

It was pointless and had no story or character development. I prefer both. I didn't hold my attention and the artwork didn't hold me either. I pretty much agree with everything in AL's review.

i can't say that i agree with you on that it has no story or character development, but i guess thats a matter of opinion and viewers discretion i guess. as for the artwork i found it to be comical and i rather enjoyed it but again thats a matter of opinion and discretion. his reviews are good but i still rather sit and read ANN reviews.

I tend to listen to him more for the laugh than for an actual review. Each person has an opinion and tend to like different things. So you got to take everything with a grain of salt. I do like that he gives it for what its worth more than just what he thinks. But I by No means think that he is giving a completely objective review.

EDIT: over 100 views and only 2 votes other than my own. WOW.. I thought this guy was hilarious.

I haven't seen the samurai champloo one you guys are talking about I think I'll skip it. but I agree with him completely on this ugly yet beautiful world, the name itself almost put me off of it and I regret wasting the hours of my life on it. The bible black one made me laugh so hard my boyfriend came in from the other room and asked me what I was watching. For the nights baby rofl.

This Ugly Yet Beautiful World was probably the 2nd Anime series I ever bought on DVD. I actually really enjoyed it too. I mean it wasn't the greatest thing ever but it was an enjoyable watch. Discovered it when I found the first volume at a pawn shop for $2. After watching the first four episodes at least a dozen times I finally purchased the last two volumes on Amazon and got to complete the show, lol.

As for Samurai Champloo, it was alright. Mugen really made the show, but overall the story progression was too episodic for my tastes.

Eh. I don't really like his reviews. It feels... Cheesey? I don't know- He sounds like every other person who reviews shit. I guess I've seen so many that they just get old after a while.
