Kits > meaning custom builds/custom network configs/storage build outs > san/iscsi/fiber channel etc. ;)

It's a nice setup you have to be sure. I was only commenting I sort of aged out of doing it myself - wish I still had the patience for it (I do miss it sometimes) but only now and then

mmmm rocks out with ~75TB of storage in my room across all systems

LOL, 75 TB!!! OMFG :)

And the picture of your storage system above...

What HDDs you use (and in what raid)? Mabe one of these?

LOL WD screw them, i use Seagate and proud of it, also all bay's arnt filled yet, and RAID 6

Well, I could not blame you :)

Few of my friends had their WD hdds crashed and losed a lot of data. I had a WD 500GB Blue crash on me after 1.5 year of use.

Do you use one of these Seagate Nass HDDs?

Good choice about Raid 6, btw :)

I feel you there. I'm kind of like you about storage right now.

The best solution is the NAS way, but that's kind of pricey atm.

Hope the other members help you out with some donations (I'm a little broke atm) :(

as long as i use raid6 i feel it ok to use reg desktop styled HDD's i dont see archiving anime/music/etc neededing enterprise/NAS styled drives now if i was a datacenter and running client stuff that requires me to have it sure but nah honestly dont need em ive had to replace a few drives already and they lasted a few years, thats to be expected
