Fairy Tail Anime & Manga Discussion

Reading the manga, by the looks of it he does, but I'm not entirely sure, haven't started throughly reading it yet,

I think maybe "Wendy" will join his team, she uses Sky DragonSlayer magic I believe, has healing abilities and can "strengthen" people, make them temporarily stronger. I know she joins Fairy Tail and fights with Natsu but I'll have to read a bit more to actually know for sure

But you're right that Juvia is cool :P what did you think of the recent episode with her when she fought?

she was totally badass, out of all the water-based character's I've seen in animes Juvia uses her abilities the best even when she's under the Rock of Succubus

I haven't really read the manga recently (it turned off my interest cause it got boring and predictable to me) but yeah I would really like a Nico Robin type of character for Natsu's team (sorry for repeating myself but i really do want a character like that lol)

I totally agree with you, Juvia is a very well-done character in my opinion, right up there in my top favs I'd say! =D

And yeah the manga is a tad bit predictable but it's a good pass time for me so that's why I'm still giving it a decent go lol

and Happy is a cool char Idl12, good reason to watch haha

The official Japanese website of Hiro Mashima’s Fairy Tail fantasy adventure manga has confirmed on Wednesday that the 26th volume will bundle an original anime DVD when it ships on April 15, 2011. The special edition’s DVD will contain the anime adaptation of the manga side story “Yōkoso Fairy Hills!!” (Welcome to Fairy Hills!)

In the story, the Fairy Tail mage guild member Lucy comes across a mysterious written request. The client is looking for an object that is in Fairy Tail’s female dormitory, Fairy Hills. To verify the request, Lucy visits Fairy Hills, and discovers that the client is Hilda, the dormitory head who is looking for a “shining treasure.” Meanwhile, Natsu and the other guild members are cleaning their pool. The manga’s website hints that there will be an original anime scene with the characters Natsu and Gray.

Besides the DVD, the special edition of the 26th manga volume will include the original “Yōkoso Fairy Hills!!” manga side story in a separately bound booklet, as well as a strap attached to a figure of the mascot Happy and an exclusive cover drawn by Mashima. (The manga short story originally appeared in Kodansha’s Magazine Special and has not been published in a compiled book volume before.)

Shinji Ishihira is directing the new anime at A-1 Pictures Inc. and Satelight, just as he does for the television anime series. Similarly, the television anime’s series script supervisor Masashi Sogo and character designer Aoi Yamamoto are also involved.

Manga Entertainment's British branch has announced via Twitter that it will release Fairy Tail this year.

Fairy Tail is an ongoing television anime based on Hiro Mashima's manga of the same name. Crunchyroll is simulcasting the series, but there has been no announcement of a DVD or Blu-ray Disc release in North America at this time. Del Rey Manga published the North American Fairy Tail manga until Kodansha Comics took over its licenses from Del Rey.

Asked whether the Fairy Tail license would be for DVD or streams, Manga confirmed with ANN that it "should be DVD" but that the company is still awaiting details from the licensor. The company hopes to "get a volume out in 2011."

I hope this news mean that Fairy Tail will definitely be getting an english dub, that is not terrible (points at the crappy animax-asia dub, which stops at episode 48 anyways).

the animax dub got dropped at episode 48 you know.

That is the reason why I said that it would be good if they release more than 1 volume, cause usually, you get max 13 episodes in a single volume, I have already watched the first season(~48), So it would be kinda long wait before I get to see set with episodes after 48 =( .

Ah. That is what you meant.

I'd like to see Lucy become more useful and have a part where Gajeel, Wendy & Cana join Erza, Natsu, Gray, Lucy & Happy for like a very big mission or something like that i think with all of them together they'll make like the ultimate team, sorry if this sounds very fan fanatic-ish but i'd really like to see that

I'd like to see Natsu get over his goofy illness of only being able to be transported by Happy and I'd like to find out more about Igneel (whether he really is alive or not and such). Only seen around 60 episodes of the anime and none of the manga.

Didnt they show Igneel talking to Wendy's parent/dragon(forgot her name) in one episode?

I think the show has still a way to go before it develops because at the moment the characters and the story is all over the place + i think the show has a childish feel to it.

I read the manga and Natsu still has transport sickness, but i personally think that this is funny.

I'd like to see that too. but I don't think that this is going to happen before a couple of chapters
