I've made several of these threads and each time I get several new animes I end up watching. Love all the help!

Here's my list of watched ones that I actually enjoyed (have watched others but didn't like):

A couple I didn't like: Ergo Proxy, .Hack ... , Higurashi: When they cry, Samurai Champloo

I greatly prefer dubs, but am willing to consider a sub if it's a really good anime and worth watching. I've always enjoyed the crazy overpowered main character theme and huge fights with crazy power being thrown around.

I think you should check out something obscure and different. I recommend Wicked City which came out in 1987. It's a very disturbing film. Make sure you watch the subtitled version. Check it out, it's worth a watch.
