Memory

My memory is also an extremely good one - and I'm glad this is the case since that's why I don't need to learn for school all day but can do other pleasant things (eg. watch anime ;)).

However, I am quite bad when it comes to remembering names. I play WHFB, and every time I meet a new player, I have to ask for his name again when the game (about 150 min) is over :/.

My memory is very very bad, I remember almost nothing from my childhood and my memory problems affected my schooling greatly. The teacher asked me to read a short story for her then tested me and I couldn't remember a word I just read. I can remember a few small things to death, I say things sometimes and my friends tell me it never happened but I remember it clearer then my life. But I'm always afraid I'll lose the most important memory's. I always want pictures or videos for every moment. I'm kinda mad at my friend because he wont give me the videos from when we were camping. There was an important memory with him in there. I don't want to lose it.

I've always prided myself on being able to remember movies ive watched or books ive read. However i seem to have trouble remembering things that actually happen

Actually, alot of males have this. Useless facts can be remembered easily, like the stats for a certain gun on some random game. Females tend to not get this as often.

Woah really? I think I have that problem too.

Also my long term memory is really good, but my short term memory is almost non-exsistant. Sometimes people will say things and I was really concentrating on what they were saying, but then I just forget somehow even if it was a couple of seconds ago. On the other hand I can remember strange little facts and events from over 12 years ago.

I can also remember faces VERY well, but rarely names. It can be very embarrissing sometimes :beat_brick:

I suck at things that remembering this that are associated with classes, but I tend to remember thins that are very random and random thing that had happened. Example: I remember that I sneeze over sixty times during our class field trip to Mid-Evil Times, but I can remember some of the types of autism.

I tend to remember things through colour. For example, my earliest memory was from back when I was about three. It's the VAGUEST memory ever, but I remember having a push car, which was a bold red with a bright yellow seat that could lift up to keep random belongings in.

As for names and faces, I always forget one or the other. If I meet someone, I often only remember either their name or their face, and when that happens it almost always ends up being one of those embarassing awkward moments. xD

I kinda think of this as a bad thing, but I seem to have a bit of a photographic memory when it comes to passwords. I mean, I have like ten different passwords for various sites, ebay log-in details, amazon, etc, and I also know my National Insurance number (That's probably only because I lost my card like, five years or so ago.) and then there's my bank pin numbers, and also my partner's bank pin (We go into each other's bank quite a lot when one of us is low on cash. :D ) and I also remember e-mails and log-in details for my boss's laptop, ebay, amazon, hotmail...

I swear, no one is safe around me. xD

I'm also very good for remembering all the shit loads of songs I have learned to play on bass, as well as my own compositions, and remembering all the little details in books and films.

Overall I'd say I have a good memory, other than the fact I really suck at remembering telephone numbers, appointments and names/faces of people I've recently met or haven't seen/spoke to in a long time!

My memory for connecting a persons name with their face is terrible. It takes me a little while to connect a person with their name. but on almost everything else I assimilate the information very quickly and retain it just as well. for the most part in most of my classes I can sit there and take notes and listen to my professor speaking and I will remember what is talked about very easily. Basically if I read it or hear it and right it down I can remember it very well. For my past experiences, I can remember them kinda well, but they seem like a distant dream almost sometimes.

My memory is amazing for some things. It's kindof like a library with a reference chart... If someone mentions something relevant to a particular memory, I can recall specifics about it. If I try to just launch into a story about it, my mind is blank.

I remember clearly at least the basic plot of every book and/or story I've read since kindergarten. I could easily tell you the fuzzy details of my first steps.

I can remember all of those things from so long ago... but I can't remember what the hell spices I put in my home made spaghetti sauce until I'm making it.
