I thought this was gonna be another Goku vs... somebody in a fight thread... and was like.... whats the point.. lol.

Honestly.. not really sure which one I like better than the other one. Probably Luffy because his character seems more fleshed out and developed. All Goku did was get massively strong through his series but his character never really seemed to grow or develop really.

I liked Luffy a lot more and although Goku is tough and strong and fun to watch, Luffy always seemed more intruiging. At first glance you see happy-go-lucky goof, but he has such a deep personality and believable feelings (for example, with Ace). Not only that, but he doesn't get taken out of the plotline by being killed at anytime during the series. :)

Goku! lol I hate One piece!!!!

I agree with this post. I don't like One piece either.

Plus, Goku was my original insperation to do martial arts as a kid (which is a huge part of my life today and hopefully forever). I thought, "Man, it would be so cool to be like Goku and be an awesome fighter and just a really cool guy like that." In fact he's still one of my favorite fictional characters ever.

I'm going to have to go with goku for the soul purpose of inspiration. He is a great martial artist a goofball and may seem really dumb at times but if you watch dragon ball you will know why also alot of the Z warriors were originally really bad cut throat people before they joined goku who affected them and made them super heroes.
