We could really use some suggestions; what would you like to see new or change about the forum. Please let us know and we will try our best to answer to your idea's and see if they are possible for the forum.

So far some idea's are:

i'm already happen as it is, but on my friends site he has this thing in the upper right of his homepage for his forums it says like Top 10 most recent Topics posted in, this could help navigation thru forums easier

and i like the new skin idea as well as fast reply... its just more convenient!!!

Theres already a fast reply but users have to enable it via their profile. I'd prefer it always be open and for a setting in the admin cp though but theres not. O.o So I'm going to look into making a mod for it.

A monthly banner contest for each month? I used to do that at another Final Fantasy Forum I went to, and it worked like a charm.

4. It'd be pretty awesome if we could set up a universal forum family tree that doesn't involve incest in some bizarre way because of overlapping family trees. (Plus if we set up a universal one, we wouldn't have the issue of "Well, I dunno what I want to be, so you can choose." With existing relations, you can sort of figure out how you'd be related to others and there won't be as much "choosing" to do. It makes sense in my head.)

5. Bimonthly would be nice (twice a month). Weekly seems too often for my little head, and monthly seems... not often enough for something like that.

6. Forum superlatives are always leet.

7. Skins are good. I don't... care too much, but just have, like, two or three different styles. Like, light, dark, and then themed for certain events (like the Christmas one we have now).

8. It's all I ever use, but you can change the option yourself. o.o

With Christmas coming so soon, it'd be probably have to wait until next year, but it'd be nice if we could do, like, a secret Santa thingy-thingy. I saw it on an oekaki board--have a thread for people who want to participate so they can post ideas of something they want (in their case, there was multiple options in case the person who was to get a present for them didn't want to draw porn). In the case of FM, this being a non-pornographic, non-artist based forum, multiple options would have to be made in consideration for visual artists and non.

Perhaps for Valentine's day we can randomly match people together and then have an RP specifically for it. Srsly.

I'd also suggest making the Rant/Rave section visible and usable to registered members only (no post count requirement--just make it hidden to guests), if only because that seems to be the most likely place things are going to get personal and prying Guestly eyes don't need to be looking.

Forum "parties" or events (like the Christmas/Valentine's thing I mentioned above)? Like... a throwback event to old usernames, old signature/avatar sets, et cetera. Genderbending parties, with members changing their names to something more femme/masculine depending on their current biological sex/what their profile says. Themed RPs, without violence (because I cannot orchestrate fights AT ALL), like for Halloween, Christmas, or for no reason at all. >.> Just stuff that isn't a contest but can easily bring people to "hang out" together in some silly fashion.

I also liked the Halloween PMYC, if only because I'm a postwhore and that was what was happening when I first joined FM.

Also, I still rather like the idea of having a different type of contest each month, or have six types and have the type twice a year on certain months. (Graphics, poetry/prose, best/worst username [although that could go under forum superlatives? You get what I mean though, right?!], et cetera.) I guess if only to have something to look forward to (for the non-graphically inclined <.<).

I will keep crawling the Internets to see if I can't steal find other ideas.

"Anyhow we are now using Simple Machine Forums software, because our old software we were using was Invision Power Board v1.3 and it's very outdated and insecure. Invision Power Board does have newer versions but you have to pay to use them, and even their latest versions aren't any securer. I know, I know, I promised to use vBulletin, but I haven't managed to get it yet and I was tired of the forum being away. So I opened this one.

On another forum they have "featured" content. Like... featured stories, featured web-sites, et cetera. A new one pops up every time you refresh the screen, but we could have, like, featured stuff and change it every week. Like... featured graphics artist, featured affiliate/whatever, featured RP... It would be like signature of the week, except with other stuff. They also have "featured" members that are recognised for starting the featured stuff (like, the author of a featured story) and they get a little star under their username.

Throwing stuff out there again. I'm so bored.

We really need to start organising contests for the new year.

I dunno. I mean, if in the right hands, the shoutbox can be a good thing, but as long as people like me and Hope are around (), you know that'll never be a safe place to tread, especially when Koby is the only one who is able to do anything about it.

You know what? It's been long enough that we're calling each other by our actual names. Damn, that's some internet history.

Blah, anyway....(wait, Bernie do you remember the time when we were all poopy superheroes?) Maybe if there were more people controlling it besides just Koby then it might work. Because Bernstein and I live on the internet in our spare time to escape that w***e called reality. Still, how many contests do we need? I don't do much them....though I never got the chance too.

Well, I can actually remember your name. I can only remember people's real names if I talk to them often enough.

And yes, I do. I was Period Woman.

If he coughed up the password or whatever to the staff members (there's usually one around, and if/when I become one again, there will be perpetual moderation! ;D), then yeah, it probably won't feel as hopeless when someone acts like a dick on it and we have to wait for Koby to swing around and deal with it.

I was thinking one every month, with the occasional smattering of non-competitive events, be it seasonal/themed or a "I freakin' feel like it" kind of thing. But it should really be scheduled so we have something to look forward to, and new/potential members will see that we have stuff slated to happen and will feel more secure in offering us a part of their soul.
