D.Knight Posted December 1, 2011 Report Share Posted December 1, 2011 There's no doubt Jinbe's a great character, but I don't think he'll join. I just can't see how he'd fit into the crew's dynamic. Plus, didn't Oda mention something about noone will join who is stronger than Luffy? We're still yet to see who's stronger between the twoI think Luffy is obviously stronger between the two after all Luffy's reason for training started becoz of his defeat against admiral during Tenryubito incident. So if he were to face an admiral than he has to be shown stronger than a warlord. At the most i think Zoro's and Jinbe's fighting skill might be equal.[remember how Jinbe lost by a hair to Mihawk during their clash: of course it wasn't a full fight between the two].That aside, remember Ace's request to Jinbe in Impel Down to look after Luffy in case something happens to him. After showing something like that in the series and Jinbe protecting Luffy during the war arc as well as the fact that Luffy's crew saved the fishman island and that Jinbe has been stripped of his warlord title becoming an outlaw, that should pretty much make him join.However, the bounty on Luffy and Jinbe might decide whether Jinbe would join or not.After all u cannot have a crew member with a higher bounty than a captain.Well that's my opinion so far after reading the manga up to date. (ahahaha...hmmm) Why its possible? on the Old world, we had, Luffy, then Zorro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, VIVI (by default), Nico, Chopper, Franky, and Brooke. Who will come from the New World? because I remember Luffy mentioning a "crew of 10" in the past manga episodes, but hey! if Mr. Oda will not have difficulty putting more main characters on the drawn spotlight? who can tell? He doesn't really bring anything new to the table in terms of each member of the crew working towards a specific goal.
