Koby
I've been thinking, what if Bleach ended at episode 63? Would people be satisfied?I've never thought about it after seeing episode 63 myself, but that's because I had no idea it was going to continue with this bullshit they call a story. But now, when I think about it, the first 63 episodes were really good, and I mean great. With Rukia having been saved and returning to Soul Society, and Ichigo returning home, that would've been a good ending. When people ask me if they should watch Bleach now I tell them either don't bother or stop after episode 63. The fights were more epic back then, the detail and artwork was better, and the story was great. Since then it's become nothing but filler infested, lame artwork, and even lamer story that seems to be way too predictable. Oh yeah and Aizen sucks.First 63 episodes, 9/10, maybe, just maybe a loose 10/10.The series as a whole, 6/10 and that is being nice.I'm just so far in now that I haven't been able to bring myself to drop it.Discuss. Wake
You know I think your on to something... When I first started watching Bleach it was pretty far into the anime so I never paused to think about it when I got to episode 63, I just kept right on watching. Though if I do think about it, and try to imagine that 64+ didn't exist, I think I would have said this about the anime... "A great watch with lots of action and an emotional storyline that's simple yet captivating 8.5/10" Sadly now I would have to rate it a 7/10 I can't rate it lower just because it still has epic fights every ounce in a while, but other then that I can't say I enjoy the show all that much anymore:(
Nero D. Ace
Finally! someone shares my feelings! The members who remember me when I joined up back in June 2010 should know that there was a time when i used to be a RAGING Bleach fan. The reason for that was that I had just started it a few months back and had seen 30 odd episodes till then.I agree, Bleach was more than great in the first 63 episodes or so, it was AWESOME! I still remember some of the best moments in it - the training with Urahara, the re-match with Renji and Byakuya, and the occasional "If you wanna see some action ..." music in the background. I mean, it was PHENOMENAL back then. But ...63 episodes later, the series just lost it, whatever it had that made it so interesting to watch, it lost it. I dunno if it'c because they started the shitty Bount filler arc or if they literally had no idea what to do next and were just so overjoyed with the fact that their series wasn't going to stop at 25/52 episodes that they kept putting repetitive shit in it that kept getting more and more BS.I think the reason is that after Episode 63, Ichigo got too self conscious of the Hollow inside him and kept doubting himself every other minute so much that the fans (myself) got real sick of it and wished he would go to hell already or let a Naruto/Luffy take over as Main character. And no, he didn't do a good Sasuke/Zoro either. He was plain annoying Ichigo.
failedhornet
I find it surprising no one has the balls do disagree with you.I agree that bleach was a better show during the first 63 episodes. It was a more exciting show what with not knowing who the real antagonist was, the suspense leading up to aizen's reveal was fantastic. Ichigo's power was constantly increasing by leaps and bounds which made each fight more and more exciting not to mention the kenpachi ichigo fight remains my favorite to this day. However no one would've been satisfied with ending at episode 63. The true villain was established and he needed defeating, you cant end there. I wont disagree with you on the artwork but some of the most exciting moments of the show happened later. We would've missed the appearance of the vizards, some of the best characters with some of the most interesting powers. I've also been a huge fan of the past arc, I believe it to be the absolute best part of the entire series, so far, It completely changed the way you looked at some characters and made the long drawn out fight with aizen seem more important. Just for that last statement alone i don't think i could agree with you
Koby
I find it surprising no one has the balls do disagree with you. What would there be to actually disagree with it? It's simply a question of what would you think if it had been ended there.
Myrodis19
Failed has a point lol, wed be left on a cliff hanger but honestly alot of animes do that and those endings are satifying. However honestly i say just dont watch the fillers with the exception of the bount arc you can skip them if you so please.
Nero D. Ace
I find it surprising no one has the balls do disagree with you.I find it surprising most people has the guts to admit they've wasted many years on a dumb show that keeps getting dumber and dumber.Ichigo's power was constantly increasing by leaps and bounds which made each fight more and more excitingYeahhh, it was really exciting. Typical scenario :Rukia : Ichigo! That hollow is powerful!Ichigo : Yee-haw! (gets beaten up) Ouch!Rukia : It's powerful!Ichigo : I heard ya the first time, woman! (trains in super secret lair)Rukia : Be careful! It's powerful!Ichigo : Will you shut up already! (cuts up Hollow and saves the day)That is pretty much how EVERY arc became like. However no one would've been satisfied with ending at episode 63.Um, *points to all the "ball-less people who agreed with koby*The true villain was established and he needed defeating, you cant end there.A LOT of series have ended like that. Why Bleach was chosen to continue is beyond what i can fathom. We would've missed the appearance of the vizardsThe vizards were simply Ichigo's newest substitute teachers, doing Urahara's role since he was on honeymoon with Yourouichi at the time.and made the long drawn out fight with aizen seem more importantKey Word - LONG and DRAWN OUTYou admit it yourself. Bleach so far has been doing nothing except drawing out a fight between the main character and a villain who was introduced more than 250 episodes ago.On top of that, if you've been watching the subs, you would know just how stupidly anti-climatic the last battle actually is -Ichigo : Ultimate Attack! Super Kamehameha!Aizen : lolwut?Ichigo : Damn! It didn't work and i lost all my powers using an attack that didn't have much chance of succeeding in the first place!Aizen : Um, hello? Weren't you listening when i said i KNEW everything. I even know that you're wetting your pants.Ichigo : Damn!Aizen : Now with the power of the Hougyoku ...Ichigo : Damn!Aizen : ...Ichigo : Damn!Aizen : Is that the only word you know?Ichigo : Fanboys seem to love it when i say "Damn!" So Damn!Urahara : Hougyoku Return!Aizen : Damn! ...Ichigo : Don't steal my line! It's one of the few i got!Aizen : ah well, time to die.Urahara : The world has been saved! Kappuchu
Even though it has become pretty boring, if it ended at episode 63, noone would have seen Ichigo in full Hollow stage (battle with Ulquiorra), or his Final Getsuga Tenshou (battle with Aizen), which I think it was pretty cool. I have to admit, but those were pretty much the fights that almost gave 4 points out of 10 to this whole anime. Now, since then battle with Aizen, I feel like it has become a soap opera. Yes there are still some fights here and there, but not that awsome.

Kappuchu
That was the point of view of someone who doesn't read manga, like me.
Nero D. Ace
That doesn't matter. If a guy were a true fan of something, he wouldn't end it at the anime but continue reading the manga which is the way it's supposed to be. Most of the time, anime is just to advertise the manga since they hook people in with 25 episodes and then let them read the rest. However, if a show becomes REALLY popular, it's extended indefinitely, something which Bleach does not DESERVE as it was only good for the first 63 episodes like I've been saying all along. Every episode from 64 onward has only lowered it's score in terms of artwork, filler control and story.I get that some people are stubborn enough to say that Bleach is still awesome but at least have the decency to admit that it should have ended a long time ago. Avith
I would have been very annoyed. I get pissed when animes I like don't finish what was started. Yeah, I'll admit I didn't care for many of the fillers especially how bad the placing is, but to me, Bleach as a whole is well worth the watch. The fillers are skipable afterall. I loved the Vizord and Arrancar arcs and would be quite a disappointment to me if they weren't shown. Besides later on, Aizen actually became my favorite Bleach character (and possibly one of my favorite villians in anime). I don't read the manga(or any manga), so yeah, I'm glad the anime continued and expanded on the story and characters.

Kid Ryan
I don't read the Bleach manga (or any manga for that matter)Do you read any books at all, or do you dislike reading? (I just find that shocking since I've always loved to read, since grade school or maybe even earlier, lol)

(I just find that shocking since I've always loved to read, since grade school or maybe even earlier, lol)I don't like reading manga or novels for some reason. I just couldn't get into just reading stories. I perfer to watch them. I do read books every now and then though, but I'm taking a break from it. I typically read books on world culture, eastern history, western and (more so)eastern philosophy, martial arts commentaries and concepts, psychology, and battle psychology. I would read more but ... A. I just don't have as much time as I once did. B. Reading seems to be bad for my eyesight. C. It's time for me to start applying and not just learning. SUPERDEADLYKING
that would have sucked, i see nothing at all wrong with bleach at all seriously, you think its crap after 63? well the truth is know one is going to like the things other people like ,other people will disagree it happens so i don't think it should have ended after 63 because then i would have been sad although the only thing that annoys me is that ichigo mostly gets destroyed by villains like the espada but in a way its a good thing because this is a real life lesson that we can't do everything by ourselves and sometimes we need help. atreyuavenged
It would've been awesome if it ended at 63, but some people probably would've felt empty because Aizen still needed to be defeated and what not.
