That and the fact the story isn't anywhere near complete. Unfortunately there hasn't been any mention of the next season being in the works yet. As Koby said the anime's genre is what's popular in Japan right now. I am up to date on the manga. It is still ongoing. I guess they will make a new season after finishing a couple more volumes perhaps. The story is a far from being over. I am really looking forward to another season of Sekirei. But with the amount of chapters the anime skipped they are going to have to wait for the manga to get ahead before we see anymore. At least that's what I hope I would hate to see them create a bunch of fillers like other animes get.
