Perfecting his technique, and getting even quicker then before. But enough of talking about what could have been, I'm only being biased because I like Rock Lee more. The tailed-beast was removed from him and he doesn't really seem affected much in power because of it. For the most part until you fully master the beast and get it to accept you all you really get is access to an abundance of chakra. Therefore the strength you have seen thus far has been Naruto's strength. Naruto is haxed and would pretty much dominate anyone these days aside from Tobi and Sasuke.
