Where do you get your images from?

I have been looking at you sigs and banners and stuff and your graphic images are great.. I also look at banners all over the net, especially arcade ones. Where do the images come from for these things?

Also what programs do you use to make them. Any free?

I ask so I can have a go. Read tutorials and such and learn it too.

As far as programs I use Adobe Photoshop v7. It's a couple versions outdated but oh well, its still the most popular. And for images I usually use the image search on google. Or go to sites such as creative-uncut, gamerenders, or planetrenders.

Hmm adding to Koby's quote. If you don't want to get photoshop illegally or whatever a good program I did use is GIMP (google it). It's an ok program, of couse photoshop is better but for starting out go the GIMP.

Good call Mafuu, I used GIMP for about a year before I used Photoshop

And If you dont want to spend $600 on PS, Get PS Elements 5.0. Its only $80 with tons of features.

I use Photoshop CS2. :] It's the only software i've used besides Photoshop 7. I get the images that I use at many places. Some might be Oritsuru (before the new ownership), Natalie Portman.com, Unofficial Final Fantasy Site and more.

I'm an affiliate of Oritsuru.. its owned by my friend Omar.. Fifi use to own it but now she owns Drakengard Online.. which is another one of my affiliates, but Drakengard Online has been offline for a couple months.

Well I have an awesome avy maker at another forum make mines. Photoshop and I are like oil and water. We simply do not mix.

Adobe Photoshop (7+) is always good. GIMP, as someone mentioned, is excellent, as well, if you're not not interested in spending $500+ or doing something illegal.

As for the images, I either cut mine (using Photoshop 7) or pay a visit to planetrenders.net.

when making my sigs i normally get images from google and for programs i use photoshop not sure what version i use! not on my computer so can't check

I don't know what I do with my image from google but I think that I use them to make Banners or Signature but I'm not so good at making Signatures and Banners!

For programs, I use photoshop CS3(10) Extended. Extended includes a 3d photoshop feature as well as the rest of the features. All photoshops are good though, ive used 7-10 and any of them will still work perfectly. But everyone is right, it costs money...alot of money.

For images, well... render sites are pretty useful when it comes to sigs and banners but I find myself rendering most of my own images. I also look under search at DeviantArt incase I see something that catches my eye, they have plenty of images there.
