DawnShadow.
It's pretty obvious that Nickelodeon has realized the profit in MOD DVDs and it's great that they're releasing so many great shows at last. But this month, they've ventured into the world of MOD Blu-ray. I think this is great, and I hope to see Blu-ray releases of Victorious, iCarly, Zoey 101 and possibly Drake & Josh as well as HD cartoons such as T.U.F.F. Puppy, Penguins of Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and the latest seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants and The Fairly OddParents. Nick seems to be testing the format at the moment, so if lots of people buy these new releases, hopefully they'll continue to release them. They are also quite cheap for Blu-rays, with TV movies at $12.99 and TV seasons at $24.99. It means instead of making x-amount of stock and giving them to stores to sell, etc... they simply make it on a per-order basis. They also note this: "This product is manufactured on demand in the BD-R format. It will play in nearly all leading Blu-ray players that have the latest firmware updates. Microsoft Xbox One, however, does not currently support BD-R playback."
jimob404
Oh man, I would definitely be up for some more Spongebob on Blu. MOD is fine in the absence of retail discs. Any idea of how the actual packaging if any would be used for movies on demand discs?

Vila
I've heard of Nick/Viacom going exited with MOD DVDs and interesting that they're going with MOD Blu-Rays now but I rather prefer when they used to release their own DVDs with a few bonus materials and something more than just an Stereo audio track without any CC or Subtitles. I honestly find it a bit lazy but I still understand that it lowers the cost of producing physical media. Tbh I just don't like as to how simple they are in "technical features" as an MP4 file without any subtitles nor additional track support.
