Mujklob
Well, each episode by itself is interesting. The quality of the animation is above decent. The story is almost dull and repetitive, with very little surprises. Character development is fine, but practically non existent from what I've watched. I have nothing too good or too bad to say about it. It's just decent if you need something to watch.
Nishinku
I got to say its one of the most beautifully animated animes for its time. But i have to say that i prefer the movie

Wake
There is a live action movie coming out, though for how slow their doing things in development the date will most likely change to a 2012 release. I'm a fan of the anime so I'm looking forward to it even though the movie is going to be based off the manga.
A Ghost Hack
So I was doing a little digging around the net and came across a link posting all of the new spring anime to hit Japan this spring (2011). And Ghost in the Shell 3rd Gig was one of them. Does anyone else know or care to confirm this? I was just wondering really. I'll try to find the picture/article if I can manage to dig it up.http://animesquish.org/showthread.php?285-Spring-2011-Anime-ListThere is the article^
†ballard
Hmm... This is new to me. Ghost in the Shell is an awesome series. I'd love to see a 3rd season added to it .
†Apollo
I would completely die if this is true. I love Ghost in the Shell. Only recently have I finally realized how awesome it is (I used to think it was boring until I finally gave it a chance). So yeah, a 3rd season would be awesome! A Ghost Hack
Yeah I too am hoping this is true (Yeah that just rhymed lololol). But I just got done rewatching the series again (minus the movies) and it still blows me away at the amount of detail put into the storyline. The second gig still loses me half way through so I am up for watching it over just once more
Hicks
Yeah, it's pretty good show, so as log as they kept that up I'd definitely look forward to seeng it. And since the show veered so far away from the manga already, they might as well just keep going.
ari_88
I can't find anything that can confirm this concretely, but there's enough talk about it around the net. If it's all true, then it's very exciting for us GITS fans. I just hope they don't do a half-assed job and milk it. I prefer the dub, so I hope it gets dubbed quickly. I wonder if Yoko Kanno is on board again.
Wake
I would love to see a new season of GITS, BUT this is a fake. I saw this exact same picture preview last year for the spring season of 2010 of that preview. Someone just updated this to make look like a 2011 preview. spike00
Ghost in the shell series is one of the most popular anime series ever. I think every one who likes anime knows about GITS (regardless of if it's good or not). I don't think we've seen the last of Ghost in the shell. Jarlaxle
I saw the original movie a couple of times a few years back, but I plan to get all the Blu-ray versions of the movies. Just wondering if any fan knows the best order to watch them in along with the series'? I'm assuming this is the way to go:~ Ghost in the Shell (movie)~ Stand Alone Complex series 1~ Ghost in the Shell 2 (movie)~ Stand Alone Complex series 2~ Ghost in the Shell 3 (movie)Is that the best way to enjoy the Ghost in the Shell series? Jarlaxle
Cheers for that, Koby. It can be hard to find a clear answer sometimes, especially when there are any OVAs/specials and such that not everyone knows about or considers. Had a very hard time when it came to the Dragon Ball Z movies and for Naruto as well. >_> Even if they don't directly relate to the story, there can still be spoilers and such if you watch a certain something too soon. SSJSilva
I watched a couple of episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and I became interested in the characters and whatever the heck was going on with the story. Sadly, never had much of a chance, but maybe soon I can properly see the episodes and movies as well.
