Well, each episode by itself is interesting. The quality of the animation is above decent. The story is almost dull and repetitive, with very little surprises. Character development is fine, but practically non existent from what I've watched. I have nothing too good or too bad to say about it. It's just decent if you need something to watch.

There is a live action movie coming out, though for how slow their doing things in development the date will most likely change to a 2012 release. I'm a fan of the anime so I'm looking forward to it even though the movie is going to be based off the manga.

So I was doing a little digging around the net and came across a link posting all of the new spring anime to hit Japan this spring (2011). And Ghost in the Shell 3rd Gig was one of them. Does anyone else know or care to confirm this? I was just wondering really. I'll try to find the picture/article if I can manage to dig it up.

There is the article^

I can't find anything that can confirm this concretely, but there's enough talk about it around the net. If it's all true, then it's very exciting for us GITS fans. I just hope they don't do a half-assed job and milk it.

I prefer the dub, so I hope it gets dubbed quickly. I wonder if Yoko Kanno is on board again.

I would love to see a new season of GITS, BUT this is a fake. I saw this exact same picture preview last year for the spring season of 2010 of that preview. Someone just updated this to make look like a 2011 preview.

Aww damn. That's a shame. But why do they try to tricks us like that? :(

I saw the original movie a couple of times a few years back, but I plan to get all the Blu-ray versions of the movies. Just wondering if any fan knows the best order to watch them in along with the series'? I'm assuming this is the way to go:

~ Ghost in the Shell (movie)

~ Stand Alone Complex series 1

~ Ghost in the Shell 2 (movie)

~ Stand Alone Complex series 2

~ Ghost in the Shell 3 (movie)

Is that the best way to enjoy the Ghost in the Shell series?

Cheers for that, Koby. It can be hard to find a clear answer sometimes, especially when there are any OVAs/specials and such that not everyone knows about or considers. Had a very hard time when it came to the Dragon Ball Z movies and for Naruto as well. >_> Even if they don't directly relate to the story, there can still be spoilers and such if you watch a certain something too soon.
