Neji could have used rotation to defend and Lee would be tired after a while. Lee doesn't use chakra but he has it. inner gates open up more chakra flows and if they were blocked... Naruto didn't even break a sweat killing all the Peins on his own. Thank God for Sasuke's fights that actually gave the series some hope.
