Fight Wise

Well most of them ain't anything to write home about, and are usually over fairly quickly. Although the main "boss" of each arc takes much longer to beat and is usually pretty unique and epic. I've only seen up to episode 105. As of this there has only been 2 "boss" fights so to speak. One during Usopp's story, and then the other was Arlong which was Nami's story. It is building up to the 3rd which will be Crocodile in Alabasta which is about Vivi. I can't wait to see how it is. Oh and I forgot about Buggy. So I guess there has been 3, working on 4 for what I've seen. Buggy was pretty awkward with the Chop Chop devil fruit powers. xD Bullets don't work on Luffy cause he's a "Rubber Man", and swords don't work on Buggy.

Also do each of the characters get fair fights. I mean its not all focused on luffy for theses boss fights is it? Sorry Im thinking of Bleach where all the fights or god one at least go to him then there are the other people Like Chad who dont get good fights. I mean really he has awesome powers but thats besides the point. And if i need to be clearer on what im asking just go ahead and say so.

Well not all the crew that is eventually there has joined yet.

Nami isn't a fighter. She's just the Navigator.

Chopper just joined not long ago for me, and he fights a bit.

Zoro fights a lot, but hasn't ever fought the main villains for the most part.

Sanji he occasionally fights, but he isn't a main fighter.. he's the ships cook.

Then there is Luffy, most of the main villains are left for him to fight.

I'm only 105 episodes into it, which currently has 453, so I'm honestly not that far into it so it might change later on. I hear later the crew gets separated for a long time. So I figure each will have their own story arcs and fights again later on individually as well. I could be wrong though.

Just go watch it for yourself and find out. xD

from what I've seen from the series Luffy seems to do most of the main fights, as he is the strongest of them all, but Zoro also has some nice fights that I've seen, I personally can't wait till you get to see the real Zoro vs Hawk Eye Mihawk because it is going to awesome, I think though as the series goes on everyone gets to do their own fair share of fighting.

one word: Epic

although luffy is quite an idiot who are always caught in some unexpected situations (like the one happened at arlong park because of his pinwheel attack, and being trapped by a big rock from the giants) luffy always fight head on to the boss..

I like Luffy because when he gets a good reason 2 fight he's unstoppable...

And his words comes from pride :)...

luffy has a different sense in fighting his enemies.. he's not the type of fighter who would just fight to prove his strength.. he always fight with a very big reason which is always pointed out in his friends.

another thing is that not all in his crew are strong, his crew has different abilities depending on their own dreams. but still, luffy's crew have their own battles as the series go on.. arc per arc.

in one piece, it's always story before the battle so it's like a 70% story and 30% battle.. you have to watch certain number of episodes without any battles only just for the story

and, the battles in one piece are not that over-powered like DBZ and Bleach has, as far as i seen, read and watched in the series.. the power level's in one piece are still too low for bleach, dbz and naruto... which i really love the most.

well, sorry if i given any spoiler.. :D

well in those episodes focuses more on the finding of nakama in my opinion. After the arabasta arc where another nakama joins the fights get MORE interesting where every nakama gets a strong ooponent but thats along the 220 around there if I remember correctly. The fights are somewhat funny but definitely unique all thanks to the devil fruits and randomness of the straw hats. Presently there are 9 nakama with Luffy including his ship all specializing in something like sniper swordsman or devil fruit user etc so don't worry the fights get interesting from there and don't downgrade in awesomeness believe me. And yes presently the nakamas are separated but against their will so if you wanna find out more I really suggest you keep watching the first episodes are somewhat boring I know.

you may got a point that the fights are not like dbz all out in power I give you that but just like Bleach in One Piece the more the story advances the characters get stronger and release attacks you didn't think of and power ups similar to shikai or bankai in Bleach keep watching it is a really good anime and Bleach is awesome and Naruto Shippuden thats one thing I can't deny :byebye:

hahaha.. that's a lot of spoilers! well you are right.. even though luffy's crew are not the strong (of course, disregarding the other 2 in his crew).. each of them has their own fights and uses different abilities to fight.

The way I've seen it so far (Episode 217) is this :-

1) Luffy excels at fighting. Due to his rubber body, he's immune to bullets and he has Goku's stamina and lust for battle. Unfortunately, he also shares young Goku's brains.

2) Zorro, the swordsman is on par with Luffy. I think he could have taken on Crocodile but they instead pitted him against that guy with the hard skin so he could learn a new ability - how to vut through anything using the rhythm things have.

The one time that Luffy and Zorro went head to head, it looked like it would have been anyone's victory till Nami stopped them.

That said, Zorro has an absolute TERRIBLE sense of direction. he's the kind of guy who could get lost walking on a straight road!

3) Sanji, while the ship's cook is also a good fighter. The one thing that's appealed to me about this series is that as time progresses, EVERYONE gets stronger, not just the main character.

Sanji often has spars with Zorro and they mostly always end in a tie. That said, he's a cook, not a fighter so I assume Zorro would be stronger slightly. I can say this - he teamed up with Zorro for 10 seconds and they took out three realyl huge, really strong guys.

His weakness? He's gaga for girls. Seriously, he ended up losing a crucial match just to save a hit girl from the opposing team.

4) Usopp. He's weak. Really weak. However, that doesn't make him a fodder character. Even he ends up fighting sometimes and uses his special "gadgets" and cunning to secure victory.

5) Nami. Yes, even the navigator starts fighting near the end of the Alabasta arc, taking on the Number 3 of Baroque Works using a staff invention made by Usopp.

That said, she's only good against minor villains.

6) Chopper. He's a doctor. I didn't really expect the doctor to be a fighter, let alone a reindeer so the fact that he doesn't pull an Usopp everytime danger is near is good enough for me.

His Rumble Ball is kinda cool though, even though the Weakness Point is a bit cliche.

7) Robin. Femme Fatale. Yup, that's how I'd describe Robin. Someone whi gained a million dollar bounty at the age of 7 is really scary.

What makes her even scarier is how calm she always appears. I mean, this girl can make hand come out of anywhere and snap your neck before you can blink.

7 Nakama so far and they're all pretty strong. It's better than the middle part of DBZ at any rate where characters like Tien, Krillin, Yamcha and even Piccolo pretty much became good only as meat shields, while the Super Saiyan army took out everyone.

well, you hit the descriptions right.. but as the episodes go, that list will kinda change :D

the battle which was epic from my point of was GOKU VS FREIZA and also GOKU VS VEGETA.

another battle which is also similarly great NARUTO[nine tails] VS OROCHIMARU.

But the final fight between AIZEN and ICHIGO should extended a bit longer, it was too short for a boss level fight.
