shadowtheman
Does any one remember the original nes. I recently started remaking the collection I grew up with. What fond memories. My collection is currently as it stands. XexyzHeavy BarrelMario/Duck huntMario 2Mario 3Teenage mutant Ninja TurtlesMegaman 2 Zelda gold cartDragon Spirit ShadowgateGolgo 13 (yes the one based on the anime)Pin BotLegacy of the wizardTime lordTop Gun second missionThere are more I would like to get like the orginal metroid, megaman 1,3, and 4. TMNT 2 and 3, but I don't have any cash. Oh well. I know that some people swear up and down that emulating games like these is the best way to go, but considering the fact that I bought most of these games for 99 cents, you just can't beat playing the real thing on the real Nintendo or Nintendo licensed system. lemmingllama
I do remember the NES, although I have only played a couple of games. I have much fonder memories of the SNES.Out of the NES games that I know, my personal favourites were Duck Hunt, Mario 1-3, and Doctor Mario. I did also play some Megaman, but never really got into it that much
igride
I was a bit late for the NES, but I have started to go back to some of the "classics" just to see what I missed. The MegaMan games are, by and large, really good, as are the first few Castlevania games. I have a friend who is an insanely large Mega Man fan and a game designer. going through Mega man 2 with him was an experience I won't soon forget! shadowtheman
yep, maybe we should get some of these younger folks to put down there Halos and skyrums and get them to try the nes. Viva la nes. I have to admit ever sense the nes and snes compared to these classics the current generation seems lacking. I'm not loosing my intrest in games heavens no but it seems like many games are semi clones with less original factors these days.
† Mute point
Remember it? I still have mine! And I play it regularly. I've beaten more games on the NES than on any other system except PC. But also had more fun with them and found real challenges in the games that simply don't exist in a lot of games anymore. I have about 30 games for it, many of which are in storage at the moment.. Only kept my favorites out.Dragon warrior 1Dragon SpiritLegend of zelda 1 and 2 (both gold cartridges... Did they even make a normal colored one?)Mario/duck hunt Mostly for duck hunt.Castlevania 2 Simon's quest. And last but not least... the one that everyone is always "I hate you! Gimme!" over... Final Fantasy 1.
shadowtheman
I remember it too... I wish I still had mineYou can easily grab them up. The Nintendo was originally my brothers until my folks talked him into selling it. For a long while I never thought of it sense he gave me the snes. How ever recently I noticed how cheap the games are now. You can go onto Amazon and buy many for prices like one cent to about 15 dollars and if you don't have a working Nintendo you can just buy a third party system. They have ones that work just as good or even better then the originals. I use an FC twin, it plays both Snes and Nes, but there are others that can play either just one game type for less or all three (Snes, Nes, Sega) for more. Its to bad that the light gun doesn't work for about 95% of modern tvs, and the fact that you can't find a super scope for under $100 dollars. DarnI'm just out of work at the moment and in a hard location to find any more games other wise I would have a lot more.

Captain
I still have mine and I also play games on it every so often. There are a few games that I do want to try and find because I remember playing them in the past. Thankfully, collecting games for it is pretty fun. rue669
I remember the NES, especially Mario brothers 3, but SNES is where all my memories are. Those were good days. Actually Dreamcast was probably the system I was most excited for out of any other system I have ever purchased. I will always remember playing Sonic and thinking this system was the greatest thing in the world.

Kasoivc
Mm, Family wasn't really big on the NES, we got lucky with ours back in the day when E.B. Games was still around - traded that sucker in for a Xbox. $20... Lotta money for a broken NES. My memories were all in the SNES like llama. Personal favorite being Mystical Quest (Very First Game ever completed, followed by Front Mission 3) and Final Fantasy 3. <3 Locke/Celes.

Beer
If you're putting together an NES collection, you should try to get Crystalis. It's somewhere between a Zelda-style adventure and a RPG and definitely a classic.
Kasoivc
I heard Google apparently made a Google Maps Cartridge for the NES, and apparently it has Wifi-capability where you hook an ethernet to the actual cartridge while it's plugged into the NES and it'll display stuff in 8-Bit. Hold on, lemme google it.http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2012/03/google-maps-for-nes-surpasses-other-attempts-at-april-foolery.arsCan't tell if real... or fake...
