Post Your Voice!

I stole this from another forum that stole it from someone's Livejournal that probably stole it from a dead hooker. There may be those among us who do not wish to disclose their faces, but may be comfortable with sharing their voices. Here is the meme.

1. Your name and/or username:

2. Where you're from:

3. The following words: aunt, roof, route, wash, oil, theater, iron, salmon, caramel, fire, water, sure, data, ruin, crayon, toilet, New Orleans, pecan, both, again, probably, spitting image, Alabama, lawyer, coupon, mayonnaise, syrup, pajamas, caught, orange, coffee, direction, naturally, aluminum, herbs, and meme.

4. What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?

5. What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?

6. What do you call gym shoes?

7. What do you say to address a group of people?

8. What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?

9. What do you call your grandparents?

10. What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?

11. What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?

12. What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

And here is EO talking with her "hard to place accent". I moved around a lot, so my accent is a mish-mash of things. Kudos if you can pinpoint the things I say oddly that are specific to a region, because I sure don't know. Also, sorry for the random loud bits. They aren't too intrusive, I hope. Darn that "S" sound.

I also have a baby voice that I employ quite often, but I won't subject you all to it. According to Java, it is apparently difficult to understand.

Feel free to add anything (within reason) that you would like other members to say. Maybe you've had a long-winded debate over the pronunciation of "cache" or "platypus". Or maybe you want to hear animal or valley girl impressions. IDK.

ETA: Added a word to the list.

Shazi, oh my god, that "kitten" sound byte is priceless. And I love the way you say "syrup".

And Joy, the way you say "lawyer" tickles me. Tickles me so much.

Here is my new clip with "kitten", "meme", "cache", and "cachet". I'm trying to con my husband into doing it, so hopefully that'll be up today after work, since we're on lunch right now.

My grandparents call carbonated beverages pop. One would imagine that my father would then call it pop and I would also receive this teaching, but I guess not. Raaaah, rebellion.

Also, as far as the "sun shining while it's raining" thing--I was listening to some responses on another forum and at least three or four people called it "a miracle", haha.

That last bit made me laugh so hard. When I was listening to it, this was the conversation I had with my husband.

Him: Sounds like someone faked their entry.

Me: It's Mute. She can't talk.

I found it amusing, anyway.

The way she says "sure" so chipper and "meme" as "mehm" amuses me. It is a nice voice though--I could listen to it for ages, haha. And yes, sometimes those sun showers are annoying. Rain in general can be annoying.

I made a text to speech version because that's the only way you can hear me.

I thought about videoing my hands and signing all of this stuff... But I decided I didn't want to ^_^

Lmao Mute. I lol'd hard reading your signature. This actually sounds fun so I'll have to get on this when I'm not sick x) because right now I sound all deep and nasally... The nasally part is a major nuisance to me.
