my review on fairy tail

I hear and read a lot of skepticism that Fairy Tail copies One Piece. This might be true, though I haven't read anything that wasn't fan posted to support other wise. The only character from One Piece that was adapted to FT to my knowledge was Red Hair Shanks becoming in FT Gildarts. FT actually takes a lot from its creators previous Work called Rave Master or Groove Rave. The main characters and other taken from his previous work is as follows...

Rave Master - Fairy Tail

Haru - Natsu

Elie - Lucy

Musica - Gray

Plu - Plu - Happy

Seigren - Jellal

and so on there is quite a few I haven't noticed.

Fairy Tail can be seen as original or a remake or a copy. This show is compacted with a great balance of drama, action, comedy, romance and adventure. It grows popular everyday.

The few shows that people assume FT copies are...

One Piece - via character design, ability and plot.

Full metal alchemist - via magic circles that appears and glows when preforming magic.

Also a rumor around saying that when natsu puffs out his stomach when breathing fire its suppose to be inspired by luffy turning into a ball.

These may or may not be true, I don't know to be honest.

My first impression of FT was this show is hilarious I can't wait for more. Arguably an anime that will surpass them all, if done right.

Its drama isn't BS like that of Bleach, Its action is comparable to Naruto and One Piece, its comedy may be better then them all. Though it does not yet have status to be in the same league as DBZ yet... This series is promising and so far nothing has disappointed me, with every new adventure there is a new twist and surprise.

The downside being that it does resemble so many shows and its main story is hard to be certain of, when they are in filler mode. its randomness is what will throw people off even if its comedy seems to hold up the story.

What makes FT more unique is that they give better detailed sequences surrounding the characters relationships and feelings towards each other, even background characters get involved to some degree, and we get to see how they interact with each other. unlike many animes where everyone is at a distance with everyone.

The plot does seem to mimic OP quite a bit, Natsu the main character is after his dragon mentor and adoptive father Igneel, while on his journeys he is often seen fighting or making new comrades all the while still searching for Igneel, similar to that of Luffy searching for One Piece.

All in all this series has something for everyone, and because of its balance between genres might not have enough for some.
