He had good core values that were ultimately turned evil with power thirst. L all the way! I have to say, the ending of Death Note was one of the best anime endings I've seen so far..... Probably just because I wanted to see the result/ screw law enforcement.I think Light had a severe god complex and ended up becoming a massive hypocrite along the way. Which, I think he realized at first... and then went batshyte crazy. I'm usually on the side of "evil" if you want to term it like that,but I think L is an amazing character. I also think his intelligence was superior to Light's (where as Light had more tact). L knew what was going to happen to him beforehand, he just had no way to counter it. Bitch please, L had all the resources including security cameras, the support o the police force and Japanese government and still lost. Light could have finished L a long time ago if he took it Ryuk's offer and gain the shinigami's eyes but instead he choose to kill L with his own intelligence. Also you cant change the world in small increments/one step at a time.
