Pinkie Pie
Before we get started, list some bands you listen to first. That way I'll know whether or not to take you seriously. Sorry if that sounds super elitist but I've been listening to Vkei on and off for a really long time so that kind of thing has to come first before any real discussion starts. The Welsh Paddy
I listen to quite a bit of that actually. Malice Mizer was the first band I got into, closely followed by Dir en Grey, Gackt and Miyavi. I eventually went off all of that and started listening to a lot of Gazette, D'espairsRay, An Cafe and some others. Then I kinda started finding the whole visual thing to be really stupid, and I got sick of hearing Ruki's whiny voice, and suddenly found An Cafe to be more of a child's type of rock music and got sick of them too. (Obviously grew up. xD) And for a while I only listened to D'espairsRay, but then I got into some other bands like Mucc and Girugamesh, and then I went off D'espairsRay because for a while they stopped making good music.I've recently gone back into listening to Miyavi. Since he stopped making "typical" J-Rock, I really started to appreciate him more as a musician. I still listen to Girugamesh, although I prefer their older stuff from 13 Reborn, and Girugamesh albums. I haven't been so keen on Mucc's latest album, but I love how varied they've been with their music. I also listen to a lot of Kagerou, The Studs, and Deadman. Diablo
I recently started to listen to Japanese music, so I don't know many of them these are some of them I've listened to.AKB48FairiesFlowerSadie2PMI know they're not J-Rock except Sadie but I've just started listening and I assure you I'm really enjoying it. I'll be sure to check out some of them from shyguysteve's list though.
