Favorite Star Wars Movie

Even though Jar Jar Binks was freaking annoying, Phantom Menace was the first one i ever watched all the way through and it also is the only one with Darth Maul in it (my personal favorite sith that appears in the movies). Though that is followed closely by Empire, that one had the best story out of all of them.

Haha, Jar Jar was the best! Me'sha thinks his dialect was cute.

The Phantom Menace is the one that brings me the best memories, it's first connection I found with the series (from what a 8 year old could make out of Star Wars anyway..)

i liked the first one, i wonder how anakin would have turned out if Quigon had trained him instead of Obiwan

Oh definately the 3rd one for me. It had the most impact with battles and filled in all the gaps better than expectation in addition to simply being epic.

I actually enjoyed all the stars wars films, but I'm just going to have to choose New Hope because I saw it the most, before I even knew much about the other ones, and I just grew to like it a lot. The other movies are definitely more intense and some of them have better stories, but nostalgia makes New Hope win for me.

My favourite is Attack of the Clones because the introduction to the clones were amazing and it fit the story so well. I loved that Obi went to Kamino and that there was an army for Coruscant already ready for him. Plus the near end when they are in that colosseum, surrounded, then all of a sudden the clone army arrives and destroy the droids, the massive space ships in the background are epic and the vehicles are just awesome. But the final battle was the part of the film that made it my favourite, even if it was only for about 10 minutes.

Episode 1 was my favortie. I was never a Star wars fan, but I loved Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn. Also like Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi when they were younger. I didn't have fun watching Anakin get older and making stupid choice. Like him better when he was just a boy.

it would have to be one from the original trilogy.....it would be a toss up between episode 4 or 6

They were humble, and it wasn't yet a "franchise" (per se).

I still maintain that EP5 was the best, but not the most enjoyable.

 

What I mean by that is:

EP:TESB had all the great 'o shit' moments, or plot twists.

The characters each came into their own, with all their own 'this is who i am' scenes.

The special effects, and overall ascetic, had been established.

The ending was pretty damn fantastic.

The genera firmly switched from "A New Hope's" a-western-in-space genera, to solid sci-fi.

Yoda.

 

 

While I ENJOY 'Return of the Jedi' more.

Mainly because it cleared most of the plot points, finished most of the character arcs, and ended on a good note...

The film didn't really have anything left to do but do the clean up.
