It was set up to be this big mystery about what actually happened with two characters, how their past influenced the world's current state, and what was going to happen when they met again. Â But in the last three episodes or so, the two characters devolved into flat, boring stereotypes, the plot wandered off into random, rambling scenes that had nothing to do with the main conflict, and nothing was ever really explained.
