animedono
back on windows xp days, i would format every 3-4 months, on windows 7 i only re installed OS when i changed HDD or build a new PC, apart from that if you defrag HDD once like every week or 2 and run cleaning programs for registy/malware etc every once in awhile you dont need to format at all. Sinistra
I do it every 6 months. With the new laptop with Windows 0 it will happen in October when Windows 8.1 comes out. I like a clean HDD. I backup all my stuff so its not like I am deleting anything important
r3dc311
Ever since ive had Win7, I havent really found a need to re-install. If you know how to keep clean from malware and you dont have a hardware issue Win7 seems to keep on keeping on.
cloudxkillah
Supposted to reinstall at least once every 6 months but ive gone up to 2 years without having to reinstall my OS.You can create two separate partitions on your HD one for your system and one for your personal files and it will make reinstalling windows a hell of alot easier.
