He gains freinds over time but not without having to risk his life for it. His 'best friend' turns 'evil' and attempts killing him. The girl he has a crush on abuses and thinks little of him. I mean, it's one of the reasons I found it so frightfully boring near the end.Here they have a whole bunch of interesting characters - Kid, BlackStar, Stein, Justin ... and they choose to focus the story on the most BORING one of them - Maka.Seriously, she's the weakest of the three.I wouldn't say that Maka is annoying but she is undeniably the WEAKEST in the entire series. Besides i think it would make the series boring if EVERYONE was powerful thus at least someone has to work the hardest to prove his/herself. Also all the characters in soul eater complimented each other ( in my opinion ). The most annoying character is ichigo 4rm bleach. I just hate it how he fights EVERY1 elses battles and make everyone elses responsibility and problems become his. And Souichiro 4rm tenjho tenge.
