Soul Z
I haven't watched a lot of anime, but the ones that made me almost cry like a baby were Elfen Lied, Angel Beats, Code Geass and Fullmetal Alchemist. If you don't mind people, but can you suggest what anime I should watch so I can end up crying like an idiot? the man773
Clannad After Story followed closely by Code Geass, the only difference between the two is the more I watch Clannad the sadder it gets but the more I watch Geass, the more I understand why he did it and that it was the only way to progress. Arekkusu90
I don't cry over movies or television. That being said, I almost broke down into an emotional wreck watching Grave of the Fireflies. If you want a sad anime, this is it. It's a Studio Ghibli (or maybe just Miyazaki, I can't recall). But it's not a kid's movie. It follows the lives of two children during the firebombing of Japanese villages during World War II. It portrays Americans as faceless destroyers but the movie isn't as much about political statement. The point behind the movie, in my opinion, is to show the horrors of war on a heavy emotional level, to show the upheaval and scars that war leaves behind. I can't recommend this movie enough. tridentgum
Recently finished Clannad ~AfterStory~..yeah, my tear ducts still hurt. Code Geass was sad too. My friend was sneak-watching it in class and started crying, the teacher was so surprised. LOL.
