Kasoivc
Nice... Das ist sehr nicht gut.Not quite sure what a group of "hackers" would do with millions of dollars at their disposal once they obtain many video gamers' credit card numbers/account information. Other than to buy AK47's and Nuclear Warheads to start some kind of conspiracy rebellion I don't see what the point is. If you can Leki, I want to look at some concrete evidence =/ Might just have to call Microsoft and have them remove my brother's credit card number from their databases again. † Anras Rune
I personally call bullcrap on this. Not doubting you Leki, but the sources seems all to convienent to be true. The day after Sony annouces that credit details are probably compromised is the day that Microsoft is a "attacked" by "hackers". Phishing has always been on COD, one of the main reasons I didn't buy Black Ops. But it seems the media is having a hissy fit again, and blowing things way out of proportion. Also I've seen service alerts on the supprort website before, for a multitude of games. But they've always bee resolved by Microsoft...just goes to show XBL superiority...^^Subscription charges FTW!Of course if something serious happens I'll be the first to say I was wrong, but until then I call bulls**t... DrumRoll
the irony of free psn now costing its customers millions by havng their details stolen.Good thing i keep all my credit card details on my XBOX 360.
Kasoivc
Roflcoptor. I see quite a bit of irony DrumRoll. Though I'm sure it's easier just to say we should all be safeguarding our confidential information regardless of where its stored/being used for. renovalentine
well i own both consoles and if this had happened a year ago i would be very worried however fortunately for me the credit card attached to both systems has expired. (not so fortunate when Microsoft try to bill my xbox live to expired card in a couple of months though)
Pinkie Pie
It's too soon for this to seem legit imo. And honestly, it's hard to attack the Wii since the internet on that is game by game and even with the virtual console stuff, I'm not sure there'd be credit card numbers or information to gather :v
hearteater
I doubt they would target the wii too, they seem pretty secure plus there is not alot of online activty compared to the ps3, and Xbox.
Spazim :)
All good, my credit card info with xbox live expired ages ago but they still give me gold for some reason... not sure if they're actually charging me still but yeah...

They just haven't had any recent attacks that were bad. The last console of this 7th generation to be hacked was the PS3. The Wii and XBOX were hacked first. Koby
This is not True the xbox wasn't hacked niether the wii get the facts right. You are wrong lilwill. The xbox 360 has been hacked numerous times. Just it wasn't something that effected everyone who has the console and it didn't manage to make it's online system have to be shutdown. For instance hackers have hacked the xbox live to make it so they cannot be banned.http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/31/hacked-xbox-360-firmware-prevents-banningand here they talk about the security of the system being broke/hacked so they can add hacks and such to the firmware:http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EEukZpklFAhkcWwSgZ.php
