More contests?

While the graphics Signature of the Week and banner contests are good, why don't we try and include a wider range of contests.

I have been toying with the idea of starting an AMV contest on Kametsu for a few days (based around a set anime / theme or using a particular song / trailer), but we could also have others too (ideas welcomed)

What does everyone else think, would this encourage more activity on the site and forum posting?

Koby suggested a signature of the month contest, which I'm going to try this month. But I think more contests are a good idea. I like the AMV idea, plus we could do literature and art contests too maybe. I think it would liven up the forums.

It is a good idea, but whould they have to be ones you made? or can they be ones you find?

Cause if it is making your own... well... i suck at it xD

maybe have both as 2 as seperate contests, with the last winner choosing the next theme and judging the winner

Well as far as the gfx section anyone is able to setup a battle, but no one ever does anymore. =P I like the idea of contests. Story Writing contests, Poetry Contests, Gfx Battles, Art Drawing based on Anime & Games in Otaku Releases, etc.. You can pretty much have contests about anything.
