kakashi of course, he is just so awesome, plus he always seems that bit laid back, like how he is always reading his books, but then when it comes to fighting, he just comes out and absolutely smashes.

Kakashi, hands down. Conclusion reached by ep. 4: anyone who can fight whilst reading a book is automatically my hero for life. I live to see the day when we get Madara vs Kakashi and Icha Icha. Could give trouble on the handsigns, but then perhaps he can come up with some special book-signs and create new unstoppable jutsu. For instance: half-tiger + Icha Icha Paradise at page 167 = warping of reality into a dimension filled with nubile young ladies.
