The main factor I think that will determine the fight depends on the gift that itachi gave to naruto before he fought with sasuke. That still bothers me as that was the only part that was seen of it. After spending over a year and a half with fillers in Naruto, they decided they needed some flair when starting Shippuuden so they showed you a glimpse of what everyone had been looking forward to so that people would stay tuned in.
