† Koga
As some of you know, DBZ comes back to Toonami this Saturday. I forgot the time so check your local listings.....or look it up. Also, the DBZ series is being re-done. All 291 episodes are being remastered and in HD and UNCUT. The first Season has already been released and it costs only $35. Its the whole Vegeta Saga, which is 39 episodes. Yep, theres 39 episodes in this set. Season 2 (37 episodes) is coming out at the end of May and Season 3 is coming at the end of August. I bought the 1 Season and love it. As you already know from watching the UNCUT episodes on TV, the audio is done over along with the scripts being revised. That's now being done with the whole series. That's not all. Not only do you get the new audio and Original Japanese, the DVD also contains English voices with the Japanese audio. That's 3 Audio Selections.English w/ Japanese Audio (5.1 Surround Sound)English w/ New TV Audio (Stereo)Original Japanese (Mono)This are also presented widescreen, but the cropped it so a little is missing from the top and bottom of the scree but a little more added on the sides. It doesn't bother me, but some people are pissed off about it. Also the colors are better, like how Walt Disney remasters their movies. Here's a link to a preview of the remastered episodes. http://www.dragonballz.com/HD_trailer/tech_trailer.htmIn case some of you didn't know, Dragon Ball Z First Strike is available too. This set includes the 1st 3 movies re-done as well, but not remastered. There's new audio and the scripts has been revised. That's it. But it only costs $20 So I snatched it up too. Looks like DBZ isn't dead just yet. Heh, I actually thought they would be done after Movie 13. But now I can get the whole series at a good price. Koby
The episodes on CN... because we don't have cable or satellite right now.
† Koga
That sucks. Buy the new sets instead of those Naruto boxes. Those are a rip. I got 25 episodes on DVD on ebay for about $20. You paid more for 13 episodes and then another box . The whole season would have made it worth it IMO. $35 for 39 episodes is a better deal . Koby
Yeah but those DBZ episodes are only remakes of ones I've seen. Last Naruto Episode I saw was when he gained the nine tailed foxes chakra.. After that we got rid of our satellite.. so I was buying the box sets. xD

Linoud
You know it was a girl that did Goku's voice, right? I've seen her in the studio doing it on a video-clip on thier site. I seen a clip she was doing at the time too. They showed her as she did it and the clip she was doing at the same time.

Caladbolg
I liked the anime, but I wouldn't watch it all a second time. And I definitely wouldn't pay for the DVD's, uncut or not.
Citizenmanman
One of the worst, but best animes... agreed with Jason... above poster... I would not want to go through it all again, but enjoyed it while I did.
shyguysteve
this might be old, its still true.Dragon Ball Z: kai takes over and is more or less the english voices mixed with japanese soundtrack.Looking back remembering dragon ball z was way better then watching it now, I will re watch DBGT but to really appreciate it you have to watch DBZ from the beginning. ghostwriter066
The only thing I don't like about DBZ is the amount of episodes for a single fight, and all the stuff that people are going ape shit about now I saw in Japanese with Eng Sub, like 15 or so years ago. My little boys now are going gaga over this stuff, and they are shocked when they see a so called "new episode" on the Funimation channel, and I can tell them exactly what's going to happen, then they are like Oh my gosh, how did you know? Then I show them the VHS tapes of the Brolly, Cell, Buu, Android, Fieza sagas.
