Wake
I found this article http://worldomonation.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/angel-beats-interview-with-maeda-jun-second-season/ and there MIGHT be a second season. What do you think? and would you want one? Me, I wouldn't want a second season that has to do with anything about the future of what happened after the first season. If they made a new season that actually covered everyone's past in some way that might be cool though and I would really be looking forward to that. Koby
That link lead to a page that just said "sorry no search met your criteria". I haven't heard any of this from any official sources, and the first season ended nicely. So I really hope the interview message you found was a fake. Annabeiru
why do they have to have a second series? the first gave the best ending ever. even though we didn't here about how yuri died it still isn't really needed to continue. if it were to continue the best way to do it is in an ova

But since no one knows what the extra episode is about we can only guess at this point. I think a few episode OVA would work much better then a continuation of season 1.PS: I fixed the link in the first post.
Clockwork
The best thing they could do for Angel Beats! for an anime is to animate the novel series Track Zero and depict the character's history and how they joined the battlefront. kreepindeath69
Can anyone tell me if there's gunna be a season 2 for angel beats? i just finished watching the 1st season a few hours ago, and its was really sad but really happy at the same time. The ending seemed like it would of just stopped right there, but i ended up on google checking for a new season, few sites said there; some said that the series is finished.Does anyone know about the new season? Please tell me, i really enjoyed that series
ragnawind
There have been no announcements on a Season 2 being green-lit, as far as I know, but with the second OVA, Another Epilogue, they could easily continue the series.
ObeyMyEgo
Angel Beats ahh what a good anime. But typing angel beats season 2 into google only gets you a ton of jerk off fans spreading rumors about a sequel.Just go here from now on instead of google. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/
Wake
Please do remember to use the search button here on the forum... I made a thread with the exact same title with the exact same question about a year ago and the news has not really changed. Only a lot of rumors and nothing officially announced. Here is that thread for you to look over. http://forums.kametsu.com/showthread.php?t=6379&highlight=angel+beats Also It's not a sequel but there is a prequel book called "Angel Beats! Track Zero" you should be able to find that book if you just type it into google.

Shadowind
there will probably be a season 2 because the manga still ongoing
Wake
there will probably be a season 2 because the manga still ongoingIf you have read the manga then you'd know it's not following the anime. Also it started after the anime which in most cases just mean's it's the anime in manga form. However this is actually tied in with the book... Angel Beats! Track Zero short stories; would be an accurate description.
stranger1158
There are a lot of questions left unanswered by the show. However in many ways that's what made me enjoy the anime that much more. There was no ultimate reveal as to where they were or what laid beyond. Like in real life, we don't necessarily know what lies beyond. There are theories but how can we know for sure. The anime tells us to make the most of our lives because we don't know what the future holds. Having a second season could ruin that message. In the end I'm not sure whether a second season would be good idea. Although I do wish the original had been a little longer. LOL.

kh29825
I loved angel beats, if anything I wish they had more episodes in the first season, not making a second. The end was too perfect.
xhollixhomicide
I agree with the fact that something about the character's past sounds interesting. I would love to see that...but I don't really care to see anything in the future.
Keichii
i like angel beats but i don't want them to have a second season but if they make a anime that is almost like angel beats without the romeo and juliet theme
