lemmingllama
5,509So what are the social implications of burning a flag in public after it touched the ground?
Alegend1994
5,510Depends on the country. All I know is that you don't even try to touch an American flag if you a foreigner let alone burn it, cause they love their flag.....But any countries people will not be as welcoming if their flag is disrespected. lemmingllama
5,511Well from what I understand, flags are supposed to be burned when they touch the ground. So would you be persecuted for doing it where other people could see?
Alegend1994
5,512Whhaaa.... You can be persecuted for burning a flag, good thing I now know that otherwise I could be in big trouble. That's one of those old laws/traditions that seem weird nowadays, if a flag touches the ground it should either be put away or put back up. lemmingllama
5,513Lol. I think it would be funny though, especially if you were let off the hook after all since it was just following a tradition or whatever
Kyuukai
5,514In the US it would be considered free speech.

lemmingllama
5,517Is California more open minded than the other states? I can see anything being more accepting than some of the southern states, so I'm sure that California beats them in that regards
