Tanis
Maybe it's something on my end... But FF's spell check doesn't seem to be working at all.

Tanis
Huh...odd. Alright, I'll see if it's something on my end. Thanks for checking the checker.
lemmingllama
Just confirming that it is working for me too. Also try booting your Firefox in safe mode, and also check to make sure you have a dictionary installed. If that doesnt work, try looking through the Firefox support forums for threads like this one
Tanis
Looks like it works, as long as I have noscript on for this site.O_o As soon as I turn it on, nope. It's dead again.
Neko-fish
very odd ...indeed ,,,is it checked when you highlight a word ?(the spell checker is marked in left mouse click)if not check it ...some times when FF updates some of our "user preferences" are lost and must be redonealso if you do not have a dictionary installed for FF it can get a tad fussy ...put one in....have you tried a "misspelled word" highlight it and check to see if spell check "sees" it?(same as above ..but different..lol)if it does not you can get an "add-on" spell checker separate at Mozilla ...try that option out if all else fails
professa X
noscript is such an awesome plugin. aside did you mean when you activate noscript that the spellchecker works it seems it should be the other way around. also chrome's new sidebar is just incompatible! arsenalphan
You can see which dictionary is selected if you right-click in a text area and open the Languages submenu. At least one dictionary should be installed and have a check mark to indicate that it is selected.Open the "Add Dictionaries" link to install a dictionary if you do not have one.Make sure that [X] "Check Spelling" in the right-click context menu is check-marked.You can enable or disable spell checking globally:Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Browsing: "Check my spelling as I type" Edited March 17, 2014 by arsenalphan
