Aurion notices Hawkester and quickly charges towards Hawkester from behind him, moving so he is not noticed. Just as Aurion throws a kick at Hawkester's head, Hawkester ducks and quickly catches the leg after it has passed over where his head was. "How did you..." starts Aurion before he notices his position and says "Oh **** " as Hawkester uses Aurion's leg to throw him through a nearby tree, causing Aurion to take 142 damage.

Aurion has 121 HP remaining. Hawkester gains 10 exp.

Dae314 gets up from the ground and dusts himself off. As he does so, he closes his eyes and expands his senses searching for a worthy opponent. A moment later he is standing behind Hawkester and says softly, "entertain me."

Hawkester whips around executing a beautiful flying lateral kick, but Dae314 is nowhere to be seen. The ground rumbles and Hawkester sees hundreds of pumpkin vines explode around him. There is nowhere to run so Hawk jumps, but Dae314 predicted that and uses some vines to throw the piece of land Hawkester was standing on up with him. The ground accelerates faster than Hawkester hitting and pinning him to it. Dae314 appears far above Hawkester suspended by pumpkin vines. A group of vines begin twisting themselves into a shape that resembles a large fist. Seeing this, Hawkester desperately tries to move, but the ground under him is still accelerating too quickly. Before Hawkester can think of anything else to try, Dae314's pumpkin vine fist slams into him shattering the piece of land. The vines viciously accelerate Hawkester to the ground, impacting with a deep resounding boom. From his position suspended on hundreds of pumpkin vines rooted to the ground, Dae314 descends gracefully to examine his work. As Hawkester is breathing his last, Dae314 leans down and whispers into his ear, "thanks for worrying about me that other time. For your reward I won't throw you off a cliff." With that Hawkester passes away and Dae314 straightens looking for his next victim.

Hawkester takes 148 damage. Hawkester has died with 35 EXP.

Dae314 gains 62 EXP

Aurion stands up and admires the body-shaped hole he has left in the trunk of the tree. "Lookssss like you are backkkkkkkkkk." The voice calls to Aurion. "It issss so hardddd to tellllllll what is happeningggg with you recentlyyyyyyyyyy. First you are out coldddd flying past upside-down cliffssss, so I have to take controllllllllll. Then you are talkingggg again and swearingggg on top of it alllll!" "Yeah, this life hasn't been too good to me." Aurion admits. "But I suppose I can squeeze a little more juice out of this lemon." "Carefullll, lest the juiceeee get in your own eyessss." Being sure to protect his eyes, Aurion dashes around the tree, looking for trouble. Seeing Dae314 surveying the field, Aurion singles in on him. (Miss: 0%, RNG: 63)

The two are evenly matched, unnatural jumping countering vine snares and overgrowth blocking out kicks. However, Dae314 had not replenished all of his vines from slamming Hawkester, realizing this, he tries to end the encounter quickly. Aurion spies the desperate element to the attacks and leads the fight towards the tree. Seeing Aurion with his back against a tree, Dae314 unleashes a last-ditch attack. With a glint in his eye, Aurion backflips through the hole his body made in the tree earlier. Dae314, previously oblivious to the hole in the tree is stunned by this development, and this moment's hesitation is all Aurion needs to evade the chasing vines as he dashes back to the front of the tree and lands a roundhouse kick to Dae314's jaw, dealing 130 damage.

Dae314 has 316 HP. Aurion gains 29 EXP.

Suddenly Hawkester appears right behind Aurion. Sensing someone behind him, Aurion whips around to see Hawkester and starts "How did you..." But before Aurion can continue, Hawkester imitates Aurion's roundhouse kick from before, on Aurion. (Miss: 0%)

As Aurion flys backwards, Hawkester appears once again behind him and and punches Aurion's back to stop his momentum, before pulling another imitation to kick Aurion over one of the hundreds of cliffs in this small area. As Aurion falls, he fails to recall a time when Hawkester has spoken. Before he can continue this train of thought, Aurion takes 121 damage as he hits the bottom of the cliff, killing him instantly.

Aurion has died. Hawkester gains 16 EXP.

Gravity being what it is, Aurion proceeds to fall on the unaware Hawkester. "You know, you sure are a nice cushion," Aurion remarks. Looking expectantly at Hawkester, Aurion realizes that this time the lack of response is more than just an act; Hawkester's consciousness is gone. After a quick glance over his shoulder to make sure no one is behind him, Aurion grabs Hawkester's jaw and starts moving it around while talking in a comically low voice. After a bit, the slippers interrupt, "I certainlyyyy hope you don't think thissss would count as Hawkesterrrr talking. You're justttt having him bite his tongueeee while you make a sillyy voiceeee." "Hmm, I suppose you're right," Aurion muses, "but I still suspect he is only pretending to be a silent protagonist. He has to call out his attacks sooner or later." Letting Hawkester's head slide back to the groud, Aurion walks off, content with having inflicted a mild concussion and moderate tongue damage on Hawkester for 140 damage.

Meanwhile, Dae314 has woken up from the ground. However, instead of joining the fight, he decides it would be more entertaining to sit in the shade and observe. As Dae314 watches Aurion and Hawkester fight it out he munches on the herbs in his pocket. A cold wind billows by suddenly from the North. Something cold touches Dae314's arm causing him to look up. Above, Dae314 sees the quickly graying sky. Waiting and watching, Dae314 eventually sees many small white flecks floating down through the air like dust. Snow. Winter has come.

Waking up from his concussion and feeling the pain from his tongue, Hawkester sees Aurion walking away and Dae314 eating some herbs. Deciding that it is not in his best interests to attack Aurion again, Hawkester decides to get revenge on Dae314 for his previous death.

Ignoring the lightly falling snow and using his high-speed maneuvre, Hawkester (from the view point of a bystander) disappears and reappears behind Dae314 before proceeding to kick Dae314 through the air. Dae314, for a short time, feels like he is flying before proceeding to his the ground. Dae314 has taken 142 damage.

Dae314 hits the ground hard but manages to stay on his feet. The snow is falling all around the battlefield, most of it melting as it brushes the ground, but Dae314 can see that a few flakes are beginning to gather on a few blades of grass. Now, moving despite the pain from the fall, Dae314 dashes at blinding speed around Hawkester toward his right flank.

However, the falling snow swirls behind Dae314 as he moves, and Hawkester is able to read Dae314's attack. Hawkester ducks the first punch and flips back avoiding the followup kick. Dae314, realizing that his opponent is just as fast as himself, changes tactics in his next charge. Rather than running an arc, Dae314 moves in a confusing zig-zag pattern toward Hawkester. The snow no longer gives away Dae314's movement vector, and Hawkester only barely gets his guard up in time to block Dae314's attack. Unharmed and on his feet, Hawkester quickly slides back from the force of Dae314's punch until suddenly Hawkester's feet leave the ground. Dae314 had summoned a cliff behind Hawkester as soon as his punch landed. He expected Hawkester to block, and decided to take advantage of the slide rather than direct damage from his punch. Hawkester, too surprised to react, falls off the cliff taking 148 damage.

Hawkester is at 558 HP.

Skipping along now, Aurion is still enjoying his victory over Hawkester's tongue. He chose to take the beginning of the snow fall as a good omen, and his mood naturally escalated to skipping. However, snow is not the only thing falling from the sky; Hawkester comes crashing down a few meters in front of Aurion. Shocked, Aurion runs over to Hawkester, grabs him by the shoulders and starts to ask who did this to him, when he spots a familiar pumpkin peering over the edge of the cliff. Hawkester is immediately forgotten in Aurion's mind as he rushes to the cliff and begins hopping his way to the top. When he arrives at the top, Dae314 is out of sight. Looking closely at the ground, Aurion can just barely make out the shape of foot prints leading away from cliff. Following the foot prints, Aurion quickly locates Dae314. Rather than rush in, Aurion hangs back a minute to plot an attack. (Miss: 0%, RNG: 37)

As he watches, he notices Dae314 lose his balance momentarily, Aurion quickly confirms with his hand that the ground is very slightly slippery. A quick check also reveals that his slipper give him some additional traction, unlikely as that may seem. Aurion then rushes Dae314, and with the element of surprise, is able to knock Dae314's legs out from under him with a sliding kick. As Dae314 falls to the ground, Aurion quickly gets up and kicks Dae314 in the side a couple of times for 140 damage. A wind begins to stir, and Aurion quickly bundles up in his ill-fitting sweatshirt.

Dae314 has 536 HP. Aurion gains 30 EXP.

Dae314 lies on the ground for a while allowing the now quickly falling snow to slowly gather on him. It seems that the cold weather has rendered him unable to use his pumpkin vines as he would like. Perhaps all the rampant cliff summoning has disrupted the environment somehow to make it snow so suddenly. With his pumpkin powers lost and fear of harming the environment more than it has already been harmed, Dae314 has lost much of his attacking advantage. In such an unsure state, Dae314 lays in the snow thinking about what to do next.

Dae314 rolls over on his back and reaches up to the sun. The light snow flakes seem to disappear around the sun's edge, and Dae314 stares up at the pale light as it filters through his fingers. Suddenly, a door. There was not a door there before, but not Dae314 was grasping a door handle connected to a door. Confused, Dae314 pushes and the door opens suddenly with a solid bumping sound. Contrary to his current position, the world outside the door is right side up as though it were standing normally. Dae314 gets up and awkwardly pulls himself through the door. It's weird for a while feeling gravity pull in two different directions on different parts of his body, but as soon as he's through the door everything becomes normal. Dae314 gets up from the ground and shuts the door. The door instantly vanishes and behind the door Dae314 is surprised to find Aurion laying unconscious on his knees, face-planted in the ground. "The door must've hit him when it opened," Dae314 reasons. Actually, what had happened was that Aurion was walking around frigidly trying to keep the cold out when he spotted a door out in the middle of nowhere. When he went to investigate the strange door, it opened while he was bending over smacking him right in the butt. Unbalanced, Aurion went crashing face first into a rock for 148 damage. Seeing his foe in such a compromising position, Dae314 decides to give him the dignity of not being kicked while he's down and walks off wondering where that door came from.

After not falling over for 10 minutes, Hawkester decides that he's finally gotten the hang of adjusting his weight whilst moving fast over the now heavily snowed on ground. Figuring that it is time for a counter-attack, Hawkester moves blindingly fast up the cliff face that Dae314 had sent him down previously. Due to his high speed, when Hawkester reaches the top of the cliff, he flys straight up into the air with the wind pushing him from behind.

Whilst up in the air, Hawkester takes note of the locations of both Aurion and Dae314, and seeing as Dae314 is closer, he angles his body so as to land on Dae314. Noticing the weird shape that his shadow is taking, Dae314 looks up to see two feet just as Hawkester kicks Dae314. Due to his momentum, Hawkester's kick sends Dae314's head straight into the ground for 142 damage. Sliding futher along, Hawkester comes to a stop and takes note of his surrondings as he prepares to receive future attacks.

Dae314 is at 394HP

Dae314 finds himself on the ground yet again. "How many times have a pair of feet mysteriously appeared in the sky only to land on my head?" he wonders to himself. As Dae314 gathers himself and begins to stand up, he notices something strange again. He seems to be laying on a closed wooden door. The wood looks brand new with a light coat of red paint applied. Dae314 runs his finger over the lines of the wood that are clearly visible through the paint. On his right is the door handle made of brass and reflecting the weak glow of the sun through the snow storm clouds. There is no key hole. A strong wind picks up from behind Dae314 kicking the snow around him into a short flurry. Too curious, not to mention cold, to bother thinking about how the door appeared any longer, Dae314 reaches for the handle.

As soon as the handle is turned the door opens downward and Dae314, who was still on top of the door when he turned the handle, promptly falls through and lands on top of a freshly knocked out Hawkester. After scrambling about for a few moments Dae314 jumps up ready to repel his enemy's attack. Fortunately, Hawkester was standing right beneath the door when it spawned, and the handle happened to hit him in the back of the head when the door opened knocking him out and taking 148 damage in the process. Noticing that his opponent isn't moving, Dae314 goes to examine the open door floating parallel to the ground about eight feet in the air. The now gusty wind is strong enough to cause the open door to swing somewhat dangerously, so Dae314 first grabs the swinging door and throws it upwards to close the door. The door vanishes, but not before Dae314 notices that the other side of the door is identical to the side he was laying on only blue with the door knob curiously still on the right. Deciding not to worry about it, Dae314 turns and goes about the work of covering Hawkester's body with snow and dirt.

Hawkester is at 410 HP.

Aurion comes to and begins to push himself up off the ground. Reflecting on his past actions, he realizes that it probably was a stupid idea to investigate a doorway by pointing his butt at it, and resolves to not do so in the future. After making sure his head is alright (and his hindquarters as well), Aurion stands up fully, and witnesses another door incident. Hawkester, cut down in the prime of his youth by the door handl--wait, he is not dead yet! His feet are still twitching! Aurion is relieved that these untimely doors have not extinguished a life full of hope and promise. But Dae314 isn't done with his villainous deeds yet, no. Realizing that his door failed to kill Hawkester, he begins interring the body! "But..but...he was still alive...why..why would you bury him alive? Why?" Aurion charges at Dae314, his only thought being to stop this human sacrifice to whatever spirit is ruining lives with doors. (Miss: 0%, RNG: 92)

Dae314, whether he was simply trying to keep Hawkester's body warm by burying it away from the wind or actually was performing a ritualistic sacrifice to the door spirit, is too caught up in the euphoria of his actions to notice Aurion's none-too-stealthy approach. "HE IS A-LIVE!!!" Aurion yells as he Sparta-kicks Dae314 from the side. Dae314 goes flying sideways, and in true penance for his crimes, falls down the cliff he summoned (which Hawkester had recently run up), while screaming the generic scream of agony and taking 140 damage.

Dae314 has 254 HP. Aurion gains 30 EXP.

Luckily, the snow gathered at the bottom of the cliff too, and Dae314 lands hard in soft, white, fluffy mush. Although hurt, he's easily able to keep conscious and surveys the area. He's at the bottom of a cliff which turns out to be yet another cliff--probably the consequence of one of his cliff-happy episodes earlier. The snow is really coming down now. With the sky darkened by the clouds and the wind constantly blowing frost to and fro, Dae314 can't even see the top of the cliff from his position. It's clearly impossible for someone of even Dae314's skill to run up the cliff face. If the wind didn't get him, the slight buildup of frost on the rocks would. Cursing his luck, Dae314 begins pacing back and forth on his lonely cliff at the bottom of a cliff.

After five minutes pacing, Dae314 still hasn't come up with any ideas. In frustration, Dae314 walks up to the side of the cliff and begins banging his head against the rocks. Crack-crack-crack-crack-thump the rock goes. "Thump?" the sudden change in sound makes Dae314 stop his self-abuse for a second and look at what he thought was a solid cliff. Embedded in the cliff is the same red wooden door he saw earlier. Thinking that so far the doors have done nothing but help him, Dae314 decides to try opening it.

On the top of the cliff, Aurion is warming his hands with his breath and chuckling at his victory over Dae314. Hawkester completely forgotten, Aurion begins to look for shelter from the snow storm. Through the heavy snowfall, he spies something that looks like the shadow of a cabin with a wooden door. Thanking the maker that he learned the skill spawn-cabin at such an opportune time, Aurion makes his way over toward the door. The storm grows worse however, and within a few minutes, Aurion is forced to pull up his jacket and put his shoulder to the howling wind bent on keeping him from the only shelter for miles around. By the time he's at the door, Aurion can barely see in front of himself, and when he reaches to turn the handle the door suddenly flings itself open away from his hand. Caught off guard by the sudden movement, Aurion loses his balance just as a great gust billows in from behind to knock him through the open door into the safety of the gaping maw that is the edge of the cliff he's standing on. Meanwhile, Dae314 punches the solid cliff wall behind the red door in frustration and returns to his pacing.

Aurion takes 148 damage.

Finally waking up, Hawkester lies on the ground for another minute or two as extreme pain courses through his head due to the many blows that he has taken to his head. Eventually the pain subsides and Hawkester attempts to get up only to realize that snow has completely covered him. Pushing the snow off, Hawkester is hit by strong winds before he quickly ducks down again. Realizing that he cannot stay here, as he had broken the snow that had been protecting him from the wind, Hawkester stands up. Unfortunately due to the abnormally strong winds, Hawkester is immediately lifted off his feet and flys backwards towards the edge of a cliff. Scrambling for the ground, Hawkester manages to catch and hold onto a rock just as he is going over the edge and gripping onto the rock, slams into the cliff face as gravity takes hold. He quickly finds a handhold further down the cliff face and moves down to said handhold to move out of the wind.

Looking down below him, he sees what looks like Dae314 pacing up and down the small ledge that he is on, and another cliff next to him, which Hawkester cannot see the bottom of. Remembering Dae314's past actions, Hawkester decides that he cannot trust Dae314 enough to work with him and as such, there can only be one. Letting go of his handhold, Hawkester drops down onto Dae314, which causes Dae314 to fall over the edge of the cliff to an unknown bottom and taking 142 damage. Standing up, Hawkester now realizes that he now has the same problem Dae314 did, and as such, sits down with his back to the cliff and begins to meditate, so as to keep warm and to think of a solution to his ledge problem. Fortunately the ledge is protected from the wind.

Dae314 has 112 HP.

Dae314 appears to be falling indefinitely as t world slowly becomes darker. Facing the ever shrinking crack of light left, Dae314 wonders whether this fissure has a bottom of if he will simply pass to the center of the earth. Closing his eyes, Dae314 lets go of all his worries and just drifts thinking, "this is probably as much as I deserve for destroying the earth so much..."

Thinking back on his battles, Dae314 can't help but feel sorry for the people he murdered. Dae314 also considers the strange doors. With a slight smile, Dae314 wonders why the doors need a handle, "can't they just be pushed open?" he wonders. Thus starts the universe turning once again, and Dae314 bumps into something while falling. The world turns brighter, and Dae314's eyes snap open. Twisting in the air, Dae314 looks down and sees Hawkester partially covered in snow. Yelling, "get out of the way!" Dae314 slams unwittingly into Hawkester who was too busy meditating to be able to react quickly to Dae314's warning. Hawkester instinctively rolls away from whatever hit him, but that brings him to the edge of the ledge he was sitting on. Luckily, Hawkester is now fully awake and manages to catch the edge of the ledge before he himself falls to his doom. Dae314 lays dazed in the snow as Hawkester desperately clings to the ledge as though his life depended on it.

Hawkester takes 148 damage.

Hawkester is at 262 HP.

TM Announcement

As dead as the current game is, I ran across a flash game that was so perfect for this that I just couldn't help myself. I've added 2 new game options to the fray. The new intelligence game is one that I discussed earlier with other members, and the new speed game is the one that I found (well found again...). The intelligence game formula is subject to change if players start breaking it (aka getting well over 145 stat). The same is true of the new speed game. I've configured the player sheet to automatically sense whether you're putting in a score for the old game or the new game, so simply put the score into the normal box, and it'll calculate the correct score. This scoring system is possible mostly because of the fact that the new games don't have a score range that's even close to the old games. This makes it even more important not to fail too hard at the games you play (although you'd be hard pressed to fail hard enough to go to the lower scoring bracket one would think...).

Players may choose which game score they want to use as their official score.

Eventually Hawkester manages to regain control whilst hanging onto the ledge and realizing that he has yet to be attacked, Hawkester pulls himself slightly over the edge to still see Dae314 laying on the snow. Hawkester pulls himself over the ledge completely and looks down on Dae314 with a confused look on his face. Dae314 sticks out a hand as if asking Hawkester to help him up. Hawkester does so. Dae314 dusts himself off before very quickly sticking his hand out again and beginning to say "Sorry about...". Unfortunately due to the speed at which Dae314 stuck his hand out caused Hawkester to mistake this as an attack at him and smacks Dae314's outstretched arm away causing Dae314 to lose his balance.

Hawkester then proceeds to smack Dae314 in the face with his elbow and throws a rapid series of punches at Dae314. Hawkester finishes by executing a roundhouse kick to smack Dae314 into the cliff wall. Dae314's head smacks into the cliff face causing a fatal blow. In his last moments he says "Why?! I was apologising for what I did before" before he dies. Realizing that Dae314 meant no harm before, Hawkester kneels down next to Dae314's corpse, closes his eyes and in his head says a silent apology for his mistake. Opening his eyes, Hawkester looks up and realizes that the snow storm has stopped.

Dae314 takes 142 damage and has died.

Once again, Dae314 is nothing within nothing. Floating along in an infinite void of non-existence, Dae314 begins to let his conscious dissipate. However, someone stops that process. "Who?" Dae314 thinks while opening his non-existent eyes to see before him an open door filled with light. Holding the door open and gesturing him in is a woman bathed in radiant light. The being before him looks androgynous, but somehow Dae314 is convinced that she is a woman. Dae314 wants to move but he can't. He is nothing. Instead, the woman holding the door moves toward him. Or did he actually move? It's hard to tell when all around you is a pool of non-existence. As Dae314 passes through the door, the woman turns her light to him and whispers something.

Back on top of the main cliff, Hawkester is resting in the weak sunlight peaking through the clouds. Once the severe weather subsided, it was easy for someone of Hawkester's ability to scale the cliff and get back to the top. Suddenly, from somewhere behind him, Hawkester hears the distinct sound of a door shutting. Still on guard, Hawkester quickly jumps up and assumes a battle stance, ready to face whoever his new challenger was. However all he sees a short distance away is a wooden door. A sense of foreboding overcomes his senses as Hawkester recognizes the design of the door as the same one Dae314 seemed to be popping out of recently. Keeping his eyes on the door, Hawkester slowly circles around and begins backing up to get as much distance he can between himself and the door. Strangely, the door appears to rotate with him. Suddenly, Hawkester's heel makes contact with something solid and wooden sounding. Whipping around, Hawkester sees that he ran into another identical door. Prepared for an attack, Hawkester jumps back, but to his surprise he feels another impact as his body hits yet another identical door directly behind him. Bewildered, Hawkester turns toward the forest planning to run, but as he does so, he realizes that a closely packed octagon of doors are surrounding him on all sides. Planning to jump, Hawkester turns his gaze skyward but stops, stupefied on finding even more doors floating in an organized pattern above him preventing escape. Hawkester sharpens his senses and tries to stay aware of every door, expecting an attack from any angle. Suddenly, every door simultaneously opens inward, away from Hawkester, and his vision is filled with blinding light.

After a few minutes, the screams of a thousand tormented souls subside and Dae314 walks out of a door, closing it behind him. The door vanishes revealing a snowy cliff top without a door in sight. On the ground is a body that closely resembles Hawkester, sprawled out in an unnatural position.

Hawkester takes 148 damage.

Hawkester is at 114 HP.

As Hawkester lays motionless on the floor, Dae314 walks over to check him and realizes that Hawkester is still conscious yet doesn't move. Meanwhile Hawkester lays motionless as he slowly regains his senses but despite being unmoving for a long time, Hawkester is still unable to see anything. Realizing that the last attack must have blinded him permanently, Hawkester focuses to sense his surrondings.

Slowly he begins to sense the clfif top before shockingly sensing someone very close to him and feeling that this could be his attacker come to finish him off, Hawkester draws his butter knife and stabs it into his attacker's right shoulder before kicking his attacker away. Hawkester quickly stands up and puts all of his concentration into sensing his surrondings in preparation for the counter-attack. Dae314 reels from the stab wound that Hawkester inflicted on him.

Dae314 takes 142 damage and is at 755 HP.
