If I had to pick one to live in I would definatley want to live in the Gundam universe and be a pilot for the federation. Anybody who read the novel they produced in English would get what I'm talking about. They go into so much detail on the cramped cockpit and the utter feeling of despair you get when someone locks onto that would be sweet. My other choices would be the Soul Eater universe, I would probably be a weapon and the High School of the Dead universe since I always wanted to live through a zombie apocalypse. A god among man....Well, while being a pirate king would be nice, being able to rule a country or so will be good for me but being the most wanted also sounds exciting.
