† Emotional Outlet
Take a look at this thread.I think they're great books and well worth reading. It is disappointing to see on the Facebook fan page that they're plugging Survivor when the books themselves are meant to criticise shows like that. I found them to be a fairly draining read as I took them in over the course of a three day weekend, but I don't know how engaging they would be for you.If you're interested in the movie, I will say that the focus pulls out from Katniss's narrative and turns towards Panem as a whole, giving more attention to characters and events that Katniss wouldn't have any insight on or knowledge of. † Anras Rune
I would recommend them. I've only read the first two, but I enjoyed them a lot. They are definitely worth the time. I can't comment on the movie though, still ain't out in spain yet... :/

Xanodus
The Hunger Games! *fangirl scream*I love this series! I have read all three books, and I really enjoyed them. They keep you thinking, and are enjoyable to read. If you like ROmance, Action, Drama and Suspense novels, then I think the Hunger Games trilogy is the trilogy for you. -Zero-
The trilogy is definitely a good read, and I recommend you read the 1st book before watching the movie, because the movie left out quite a bit from the book, there are subtle differences so yeah, read it, it's great!! Rin
I recently finished reading the first book, but haven't read the second since.I think it's good, but it doesn't get me REALLY excited to want to finish right away.I'll just take my time to read it. savedgray
Personally, I thought the book was MUCH better than the movie. As is usually the case. Haven't gotten around to reading the sequels yet.
