Favorite Voice Actors

Johnny Yong Bosch is definitely a favorite, but for Trigun mainly. HE voiced Lelouch in English!? I'm ashamed! :confuse: I first heard the Japanese version and Lelouch sounded incredibly awesome, but when I heard his voice in the English promo, he sounded like a sissy! I can't believe it was Bosch! NO! .... maybe I should have listened for more than a few words .... although it still sucks with such a high voice. Here's some, in alphabetical order:

Crispin Freeman as Alucard in Hellsing.

Hilary Haag as Megumi Shitow in RahXephon.

K.T. Gray as Seras Victoria in Hellsing.

Kari Wahlgren as Haruhara Haruko in FLCL, as Fuu in Samurai Champloo, as Robin Sena in Witch Hunter Robin.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Motoko Kusanagi, and so many other incredible roles.

My all time favorite voice actor is Greg Ayers. I'm not sure that he's acted in any video games, but he has in some of my favorite anime including Black Cat, Chrno Crusade, Gantz, Welcome to the NHK! (Where I first fell in love).

He's also in a lotttt others that I haven't seen but I definitely need to download some. Here's his list:

He also plays Youhei Sunohara (Clannad) and Jun Kitagawa (Kanon (2006)) who are very similar in personality but Youhei definitely gets more air time, plus I enjoy his character way more.

My favourite voice actor is Brittney Karbowski:

Yuri Nakamura (Angel Beats!), I didn't know that she played this character until just now but it was well fitted.

Ryou Fujibayashi (Clannad), first time I heard her voice and because of it she was my favourite character of the series.

Kei Shindou (Ef - A Tale Of Memories), haven't heard yet since it hasn't been released.

Alice Maresato (High School Of The Dead), second time I her the voice and noticed that I had heard it before.

Ayu Tsukimiya (Kanon (2006)), took me a while but eventually I realized that this was her voice.

Loved all the characters above probably because of the voice actor and the personalities she played.

Hi All ( ^_^)/

I'm new here, and I only wandered around here in the topics but I couldn't find something like this, if there is one then plz just ignore and delete it.

So this thread is about Japanese seiyuu, who is your fav one, why do you like him/her, which anime is he/she on? Why do you think he/she fits to be that character's voice?

And of course if you don't like some of the seiyuu why do you dislike his/her voice and who do you prefer to get his/her character in that anime? Why do you think that seiyuu doesn't fit to be that character?

I do think good seiyuu can make an anime more better than it is or can do the opposite, the anime (story, characters) can be boring or just bad but there can be sometimes even just a voice what grabs your attention, and it's true that sometimes a good anime can be ruined by a bad seiyuu as well (fortunately I think it's rare that there is character with bad seiyuu, but if there is feel free to share it)

Like: one of my fav Seiyuu is Suzumura Kenichi (September 12, 1974 (age 37)): he is a hyperactive freak but I like him so much, not just his voice but the way he enjoys his work and his childish acts as well. He gave his voice to alot characters like: Okita Sogo (Gintama), Lavi (D.Gray-man), Ginshu (Amatsuki), Utakata (Naruto Shippuden), Hitachiin Hikaru (Ouran High School Host Club), Suzaku (Shounen Onmyouji), Ryuutarous (Kamen Rider Den-O/Imagin Anime) and so on...

my other big fav is Ishida Akira (November 2, 1967 (age 44)): the first anime I've heard his voice was D.N.Angels I think but I'm not sure about it...I like his bit deep and calm voice, ~ it makes me kinda calm after a long and bad day lol ~ he was in: Dogs: Stray Dogs Howling in the Dark (Badou Nails), Dragon Ball Z (Ogre Intern), D.N.Angel (Hiwatari Satoshi), Fairy Tail (Zeref), Final Fantasy: Unlimited (Makenshi), Fushigi Yūgi (Ren Shigyō), Gakuen Alice (Narumi), Genshiken (Kuchiki), Gintama (Katsura Kotarou) and so on...

There are still a lot of seiyuu I like, but I guess that would be bad if I said all the names lol
