@shazi I guess most girls here prefer the bishie Lelouch type eh? :P

@job Yes every one of those exercises pictures are correct.

No those exercises will not get you looking like that guy as they are not intended to build dense muscle. The purpose of these exercises is strength, athleticism, weight management and toning but you will not get huge doing them. In order to do that you need a high calorie, high protein diet couple with heavy weight training.

Or you could just take the easy way out and take deca or something :P (it was a joke please dont do this!)

Toned muscle is in right now. Well either that or pretty boys with nothing but frippery. But I would rather have perfectly toned muscle any day rather than a pile of muscle that makes me unable to touch my shoulders.

Oh and job, the two different push ups work different muscles. Shoulder width is biceps, narrow is triceps. And another really good one is concentration crunches, where you get into a cruch and hold for a set period of time, then rest and repeat 10 times.

Don't get me wrong, I like pretty boys plenty. There was a guy at DLI I was fairly fond of that one of my friends referred to as "the elf guy" because of his less than masculine features. I just happen to not like giant muscles. They're just gross and not very appealing to me, whether on women or men. There's a certain level of definition I'm okay with on men that looks weird on women.

Sometimes I imagine what life is like for those guys with giant, rippling muscles. Like, how much of a chore is wiping after using the restroom? How maddening are itches in the middle of their back?

actually there's nothing wrong with muscles, there's just a limit to the muscles you can have.... like seriously, tones is good, bulging is bad.

plus, i like my partners to have a little meat on their bones, i've been with skinny chicks before and those bones poke and prod and hurt. i like some cushioning XD

You are correct about the narrow grip push-ups working triceps, however, push-ups never work the biceps (especially shoulder grip) they are a primarily chest exercise with triceps and shoulders acting as secondary muscles and biceps, etc working as stabilizers.

Push-ups are not intended to develop one's biceps, they are for building pecs (like a bench press). Only curling or pulling motions will work the bicep.

? I don't get it

muscles are more often than not, solid, and while they are nice to touch and the such... there are times when i prefer something cushiony. Dart has a bit of a belly and when we're laying on the couch, it's very comfy. if that was "rock hard abs" i wouldn't be anywhere near as comfortable...

also when someone is laying on top of you, you get things in places you don't expect... if you know what i mean ;)

No I didn't get the "skinny chicks" thing cause I thought you had a BF?

Also, no I do not get what you mean by "you get things in places you don't expect"?

ah, i am bisexual, so i have been with women in the past. things like bones poking you. the hip bone in particular gets you in the side... or in the groin area around the genitals and it's rather painful... thats what i meant by "you get things in places you don't expect" lol
