Since everyone seems interested in tattoos, I thought I would go ahead and just put a thread up here instead of leaving it to the piercings topic. What are your thoughts on tattoos? Would you get one and if so, what of? Would it have meaning to another person or would it be something personal about you as a person?

I want fun tattoos. Just because I can, really. The first one I want is to be on the back of my neck. The ports as shown in Ghost in the Shell. I want 'CHOBIT' on the outside of my left thigh and maybe a crest moon somewhere. Heehee...

There's really only one tattoo that I'd ever want, like I briefly mentioned in Diablo's Piercing thread, and it'd be the Rune of L&D.

http://suikoden.wikia.com/wiki/Rune_of_Life_and_Death

The image just appeals to me, as well as the whole story to it from Suikoden Lore, and most people wouldn't recognize right away that it's just not some deformed and miscoloured cloud until I told them it's actually Death/Grim Reaper with his Scythe. Dunno, to me, I've always wanted it since the ideas of tattoos came to my mind.

As for other tattoos, They say that tattoos are just like piercings in the way that they affect your mind. Once you do one, you want to do more. Most of my tattoos (if I do decide on more) will all have some kind of meaning to me, which I'll most likely explain to others.

Then again I can just go ahead and tattoo the Tri-Force to my forehead and see how many gamers react.

When I was a teenager I was fantasied by tattoos and I always used to watch those programs like LA Ink and NY Ink on TLC. But soon I realized that once you get a tattoo it is difficult getting rid of it and it'd cost a bomb to get it removed unlike piercing and I get pretty bored of things easily. Moreover if I got a chance to go to Japan they won't let me inside onsen because of the tattoo.

Yeah a few years back all I could think about was hetting a dragon tatoo on my back. But then when I turned 16 I so getting a tatoo would be one of the dummest things I would have ever done damaging my body for life even thogh you can get it removed there will still be phisical scars. S o in my opinion getting tatoos would just be a dumn idea cause once it's on it's there for life. But like I always say "To Each His Own"

He's just got a different way of expressing art. I find art surrounds us everywhere and I'm not going to complain about it. It adds variety, which is the spice of life as we know it. I'm not crazy obsessed, but it's just one of those things I'd like to explore/experience before I die is all.

Hmm well I'm not really a tattoo or piercing person but I personally wouldn't get one since I heard its pretty painful..

But If I did it would be a Tribal Dragon Image or maybe a Geass symbol >.>;

My only real gripes with this is once your old and wrinkly that cute tattoo will become very...ugly.

If its small and on a place that shouldn't wrinkle up too much like say the Shoulder,Ankle,or on the arm((depending on if you keep yourself fit)) I'd say go for it and enjoy it.

course this is just my view on it,it's ultimately up to the person. =/

I'm planning on getting the sacrifice mark from "Berserk", on the left side of my neck :P

Unfortunatly I'm kinda tied for money right now, and its a known fact tatoos dont help with job-searching, plus I'm going to hell according to the storyline but eh.. what can you do =)

I would put some real thinking before I got a tattoo. I would want something that is aesthetically pleasing not only when I got it, but when I get older. Something that would change as my skin does. I would take into account that I'm probably going to gain 1000 lbs after I get married and wrinkle like a motherfu - let's leave it at that - by the time I'm like.... 45 ;) lol
