Diablo
I usually watch anime dubbed just bcoz I'm too bored to read Subbed ones. But I've heard that the originals are far better than the dubbed ones, so I've started to take classes in Japanese Language. I know it sounds kinda weird but is there anybody like me, who is learning it just for the sake of Anime?
Bartender
I wanted to do it...but I am way to lazy for that
Arvo
I have been learning Japanese since February this year. It isn't solely because of Anime, but it is a contributing factor, along with wanting to visit Japan one day and liking Japanese music too. The bad thing about self studying is that it is too easy to just stop, you need to make up a schedule (only if it is an hour or two per week). You will be more likely to stick with it if you see it on paper and see that it is time to study. Remember, use it or lose it.

Maybe its time i put up a little schedule for my Japanese self study. Thanks!!
Xanodus
I have recently started taking online lessons for learning Japanese. I suggest you listen to Japanese songs and watch subbed anime a lot. If you want to have a look through the website, here it is: http://123japanese.comIt's a great website, as it runs you through the basics of learning Japanese. One of my tips is to learn a few of the most basic words in Japanese.Friend: TomodachiThanks: KanshaRed: AkakuYurete: DreamsOnce you have learnt a few words, try putting them into sentences and repeat the sentences in your head wherever you may go. That's what I did, and I am learning rather quickly I guess. As for your question, I do not take much interest in subbed anime, but anime is the reason why I wanted to learn Japanese
†Anras Rune
hm....interesting....wanting to learn a language to watch anime. lmao...good an excuse as any i suppose.as too your original comment that the originals are much better i dont really agree. In some cases it is, but some japanese voice actors have the most annoying voices.good luck learning the language thought, it is a diffcult one to learn, and no matter how long you speak you won't ever be able match the japs with their crazy speedy speach. Lol.

Actually thats the website which got me interested in Japanese.
IssphitiKOzS
If I had the time, I'd learn Japanese. I'd want to learn it to be able to communicate, not just for anime, and for that reason I'd probably learn a different language.
LegendaryGirlA
I stopped learning japanese 2 years ago and have forgotten all but how to read hiragana and write a basic sentence. My vocab is terrible but I pick up a bit here and there while watching anime. I'll probably go back to learning it properly as soon as highschool is over in 4 months. ^^ Contrary to what Anras Rune said up there, I think it's a relatively easy language to pick up. skate.101
That is extremely close-minded.no its not .... learning a language because its interesting is far better than learning it just to watch the raw/sub anime
Xanodus
I agree with Edder. If you stick to it, I am sure you will eventually get there!
idl12
The main reason I'd want to learn Japanese would be to read some of those Freakin hot Visual Novels that never get translated to english...and to not have to wait on the few sub groups that actually do hentai before I can get my fix.
