In what way has anime influenced your life?????

I must say, looking back, my life seemed very dull before I discovered anime. Anime, unlike American cartoons, have plots that must eventually lead to an ending, causing me to create a much more emotional and stronger attachment to them. Along with the detailed artwork and storylines, anime grabbed me and didn't let go. Much of the anime i have watched has held deep meanings and life lessons, not just comedy and fight scenes. I've cried and laughed and made new friends because of it. So I guess what I need to say is that anime has changed my life so that I learn to apprieciate it more, every part of it. Each anime i watch gives me something new to think about, to hold onto, and i'm very grateful for that. :)

anime, for me, has made watching actual normal TV unbearably dull.

Where's the action, crazy characters and gravity defying breasts?

Normal TV is so depressing.

Definitely true watching normal TV is almost painful for me now.

For me anime has been a major influence in my life it has shown me to respect everyone's ideas and beliefs no matter how crazy they may seem.

Also it has made me stop wasting my life with video games and instead has made me want to explore the world more to see it's beauty.

Scary to look at my life in the future without anime. For the future who knows whether it'll be a waste or not, I just think that as long as your having fun and are enjoying life at that time then whatever your doing is the right thing you should be doing.

Like many others have said, it has hindered me from watching the usual things that air on t.v. nowadays. As for a negative aspect though, I would say that it has definitely hindered my studies, especially when I'm in the middle of a series that I just can't put down.

Wow, how has anime influenced my life....

Hajimme no Ippo made me really want to do boxing but buying a punching bag and gloves is the farthest I got lol.

Beck made me want to learn how to play guitar. That was five or six years ago and I regularly play anything that sounds great to me.

Gundam made me want to pilot giant mecha (that didn't work out)

Grappler Baki made me super interested in martial arts and I'm constantly studying exercise and nutritional ideas and seeing how to apply them.

And...Darker than Black made me want to to become Chinese Electric Batman LMAO

Clannad changed my life even if im still young this anime made me laugh and cry and moved me i wish i could find something like this instead of other slice of life animes that have a normal ending where main character goes with the girl i hate COUGHTRUETEARSCOUGH (dont worry i still love you true tears) or a stupid main guy with a ending that tries to be sad but in the end i laugh at it cuz it was just what i wanted yet not really COUGHSCHOOLDAYSCOUGH

Well, anime got me way more intrested in the storyline rather than the action of a show, and "normal tv" can't come up with one to save it's life. Anime has also made me a more philosophical person, not a paranoid conspiracy type though, more like an observer of human life & how it could pertain to the "big scheme of things, that being said I don't accept what I'm told blindly & without question, by the government or other people.

Also when I watch anime, I tend to think about what if the world was like the anime & I obtained the powers, what would I use them for, take Death Note for example, would I use the notebook for a noble cause like Light, would I use it sparingly & for personal gain, would I get rid of all those conservative republicans with it, would I use it to silence those who oppose anime, or would I single-handedly cause the extinction of humanity, & become a God of Death (I suppose that would be a good requirement to become one), these are the thoughts I get when I watch Death Note.
