ixitimmyixi
I've been watchin allot of anime lately, some in HD. And I like the way colors look deeper and more vibrant. But I'm not sure it does much for the picture quality. I think on hd you can too much detail in animated stuff, unless ofcourse it's like cgi or someting..What's everyones thoughts? DrumRoll
well I haven't got a HD tv so it dosen't any difference to me:(
ZeroHex
Unless there's some super fancy special effects, or CGI animated bits, I wouldn't bother IMO. If you're watching something with no 3D effects or flashy scenes, then I can't help but think it's a bit pointless. That's just me though. HD is for flashy things only, IMO. †Irish
More Pixels=Better Quality...you get a Clearer Picture and better viewing screen.and just for the sake of asking, what kind of TV's and computer monitors do you guys have?
DrumRoll
a shit one-don't think the country it was made in exists anymore:)still I'll just wait until ALL tv's are HD then buy a cheap one.
†Anras Rune
Most tvs nowadays are hd, and normally quite cheap. And I love HD anime, most of the stuff I dl is 720p and if i can find 1080p then even better. Tis harder to find tho...In saying that, I have alot of free space on my hard drives and I aint bothered bout filesize, not to mention my encodes are tiny for the reso they get. Vael
if it's fast paced and full of action, I may get HD stuff, but even then it doesn't bother me what quality it is, though it irritates the hell out of stuy
big_teddy
I prefer HD, I guess I'm just spoiled that way since watching pretty much everthing in HD it's hard to go back. I just find it easier to suspend belief when the picture is that much better.
ragnawind
I personally don't care for HD. I also don't care how good or bad the quality is as long as I can see what is happening.
CrazyJoe
HD if I can find it.

Reiko8
I do like HD but sometimes it's annoying too long it takes me to download. I prefer to download 480p.
delacke
HD is nice and all, but if you have a slow connection then it takes forever to stream.
Highlander0689
I don't really see the point... It just makes things hard on my netbook when I'm watching anime on the go.
animeotaku
Yeah, it is worth to see anime in HD. If you want to compare you can see naruto & naruto shippuuden as an example. You will see a lot of difference in action quality.
idl12
For my old CRT Monitor 1028x 768, Hd wasn't really something I fretted over, but after I got a Widescreen 1440x900, looking at Hd just makes me feel better about the higher resolution since 480p looks a bit more pixelated than on my old monitor. Owen
I like getting the HD versions when available because they look pretty nice and playing stuff on my HD TV that is not HD ends up giving me the black 4:3 bars on the side. I got a friend into One Piece by showing him Strong World in HD as the animation looked so nice and vibrant, he really wanted to learn more about the characters and story. s0teric
HD and if I can't find an HD version I thrash around in a hissy fit for several days and find all the encodes of it online and compare. However, lately I've just been getting the untouched dvds from asiandvdclub. Then I don't have to worry if an encoder did well or not.
AlexitaSan
I do realize it's actually NOT,and I don't mind watching ep or two on yt in some standard quality, but when I download it,can't resist HD!!! ^^ Simply must have it,since I hate colors in any other quality... -.-
fuji_japan
HD all the way! hehehei always make sure to get the HD release (BDrips or DVD) after watching the TV versions. sd/low res does not look good on a 40" tv. LOL
