Mainstream music doesn't really score high with us.I've noticed a lot of AMV's sit around that rock/metal genre, and that's why I thought it'll be nice to do something a bit different.. Too many AMV's rely on long-length fighting scenes.. though some, if not most anime have awesome fight scenes, and though I know a lot of people would still lean towards those scenes, maybe a different genre is needed to see some other alternatives?Get those creative juices flowing And as idl12 stated, hopefully it'll be a bit of a challenge and we'll see some nice incorporation of music not always suited for the fighting-genre of AMV's. † The Joker Posted April 13, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 13, 2011 Appologies for the delay in getting back here guys, been bed-ridden with a stomach bug since Sunday.Anyway, I've come to a decision, based on what everyone here has been saying.I'll keep the contest going until the 22nd, and set it back to "any". If anyone can / does make a video with a song from the top 100, then kudos to you, and you automatically get my vote for staying with the original criteria. Also, because contest 10 is going to be a landmark (double figures!) contest, I've got a very special set of criteria that will be used for. † The Joker Posted April 21, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 21, 2011 Right, I'm an a real bind here, so please bare with me whole I try and explain:Movie maker has decided to go and be a real b**** and decide it doesn't want to play ball anymore, and I'm not only unable to save any project, but neither can i open them, nor start any new ones without the thing crashing as soon as I click anywhere.Therefore, because as far as I know, I was to be the only other entry, we have two options for this compeition. The first is to wait until the deadline and, if there are no other entries, we declare Irish the winner by default. Or, I allow members a 2 hour extension. In that time, they can go back and get any of the prevously used amvs and re-enter it for this week. The only condition, however, is that it must now have won the contest it was originally entered for.What does everyone think? How do you want to proceed.
