  1. Not exactly a myth, but no longer true either. Dog's were used to clean wounds and sterilize cuts, etc, because, as stated above, their saliva contains a healthy bacteria and enzyme. It's actually the reason why they lick themselves, and others when injured. Of course, this isn't very true any more, since the foods we feed them aren't like they used to be back then. Wiki would have more answers for you.
  2. Yes, that's right. I tested it with a few people in the forums and most said they can't save the file as it automatically streams. It must be an option in their browser, but since it's an inconvenience for them, I doubt they'll bother looking into it :(

And Ohh, I get you. Well whatever works easiest. Probably best I ZIP files instead, as media.hostanime.net is only one of many upload servers they supply. Thanks anyway, I will zip them instead :)

  3. If you mean the links like http://7902de93.linkbucks.com/url/http://media.hostanime.net/episodes/sm/Sailor.Moon.S03E91.DvDrip.Proph3CY.avi... when I click that it opens up a new tab with linkbucks and a white page but pops up a box asking me to save the file and it starts saving the actual video.. I didn't seem to have any problems with it.

But if it remains an issue I could always set the whole 'http://media.hostanime.net' domain in linkbucks to not load linkbucks.

  4. Can definitely understand the use of the LinkBucks website, and I have too experienced Google Ad's stupidity in the banning department...

The thread in question is here: http://forums.kametsu.com/showthread.php?t=11387

It doesn't bother me too much, as I can re-upload the files as ZIP files, so if it's too much of an inconvenience, that's OK. If you can only add certain pages to the disabled list, then don't worry too much about it, as I wanted to release more series with direct links (so I'll just ZIP them before uploading them).

We do appreciate what you do for us in terms of this site and many other's under the Kametsu domain.. I'll donate when I can, for sure!

  5. It doesn't let me do it that way, although it will let me turn it off for certain domains. If you link me to the page you are talking about here at Kametsu.. I may be able to work something out to make it work.

The only reason I use LinkBucks in the first place is Google blocked me from their Ad service, Google bought Yahoo and shut down Yahoo's ad service, and none of the others seemed worthwhile. I use ads to cut down on the amount needed in donations since it's already a high amount needed in donations and while we usually meet the goal, we don't always as it is and being currently unemployed it really is hard to pay out of my own pocket more than I have already allotted towards it.

  6. Ohai Koby, very quick question. Th LinkBucks automatic link you run on kametsu.com, is it possible that you could edit it to bypass video extension files? I uploaded some .AVI files to a direct link site, but when people click on it, it streams the file. So I asked them to right click and save as, again, this doesn't work since it saves the linkbucks page instead of the AVI file.

Any help would be much appreciated :)

  7. Voted Appolo.. I like the use of color contrast and dullness - it allows the rest of the signature to work without being cluttered.

  9. .. and mine I guess.. Trying to use "abstract" as a main element seems a bit more difficult then I thought..

  11. Exactly my point.. Abstract is something with no particular shape, and as such, can be judged as "anything". Abstract in digital art usually consists of renders or art drawn in 3dmax or cinema4d (like Irish's entry above), however, abstract as a word usually means out of the ordinary. It's not a term only used in art, and thus it's a little confusing. Why I asked if I could use an anime render or not, is to see if combining something like digital abstract images (such as Irish's entry) in conjunction with a render to blend it in is acceptable.. I guess the thing is, abstract is used as a genre nowadays, like grunge, vector art, etc. *shrugs*

  13. Hmm.. trying to make judgment on this theme. I know you linked to a wiki about abstract, but that can be interpreted as a few different things. Do you mean abstract as a design form, or abstract as a "thing"? If in design form, are we able to use abstract as part of a render, or are you looking for something that has no anime and simply an abstract sort of image (see here). If you mean as an object, then disregard this post

  15. Yeah, it's Haseo from .hack//ROOTS.. It's a fan drawing though, so looks a tad different..
